Remove the battery earth wire and place a multi meter in the circuit to check for the amps ( current being drawn ) This will indicate which item is still on. IF there is no power movement then replace the battery as it shorting out internally. Have a load test done on the battery to see if it is a bad cell.

SOURCE: the radio is pulling almost one amp when the car

I'm guessing the radio is not the OEM radio that came with the car. If i'm right and the radio was changed for an after market one, then the yellow and red wires from the radio are probably mismatched or paired. The red one is the one that tells the radio to turn on and off when you turn the key, and yello one is the one directly to the battery for memory purposes. If they are not paired or crossed, or if the radio is the OEM one after all, then the radio is defective and probably has a grounded output or something like that, and needs to be repaired or replaced.

My Ford Ranger XLT 2013-2015 model drains the battery when i turned off the ignition key. It won't start after 3 hours.

Put an amp meatier on the battery and start pulling fuse's till you see the drain stop. Or you can go the older way and pull 50% of you're fuse's leave it the night and see you're battery is dead and just keep going till find the fuse that's draining the battery. After researching I found that it is common for the battery saver relay to fail and draw more power than regular.

Trl blazer,2001, battery dies over night no visable lights

Right on. Connect an ammeter in series with ground wire that goes to the battery - set ammeter for about 2 amps and check for drain. Then one by one pull a fuse until you come across one where the drain goes down. Now you have isolated the area where something is draining your battery. U now check for all the items on that circuit till you find the culprit. Good luck!

Battery drains in two days on a 1969 Chevy truck by the way it's a stock 6 cylinder three on the tree

There isn't any electronics on this 1969 truck , so can't blame it on that. I worked at a Chevy dealer ship back in the Early to mid 80's an saw this problem more then a few times. I remember glove boxes stuffed so full that the light stayed on and drained the battery over night. The vehicle wouldn't start next day an they had it towed to the dealer. I have found bad diodes in the alternator cause this problem. I post a YouTube video for you , beside my test procedure ! To test for parasitic drain on the battery you have to put an amp meter in series on the negative battery cable. This vehicle shouldn't have any drain, yours apparently does are the battery wouldn't go dead. With the meter hooked up start pulling fuses till the meter shows no more drain. How to Find Parasitic Battery Drain If after you pull all the fuses an the drain is still there , disconnect the wire on the back of the alternator and see if that makes a difference ! hope this helps

Battery died but when opened up to check battery there is a ticking sound

Yes one of the relays could be draining the battery.
I would open the fuse and relay boxes and try to find where the noise is coming from. If it is a relay, pull it out and see if the noise stops.

Fuse 8 on 1990 allante is drawing down the battery. will completly drain battery in 2 days

Have you checked BCM input parameter BI61? That is the most common cause of the 2-3 day battery drain. Have you tried pulling fuse #8 under the ash tray for the CPS to see if that stops the drain? You can pull one of the plugs off the AC blower control module to isolate that. If you can not hear the blower motor running with the key off, that probably is not an issue.

Tried pulling the fuse for the washer fluid? Sounds like the wiper motor is failing or it doesn't have a good connection. Disconnect the battery at night to ensure you'll have enough power to crank it in the morning.

1998 Corvette drains the battery in less than 2 days.

No, corrosion will not cause a battery to drain, even if the corrosion is on the terminals. Several factors can cause battery drain, I would first have the battery tested to see if the battery it self is not bad. If the battery is good, then the most common is a short. All most all new cars have a certain amount of drain,(measured in milivolts) this drain is for clocks and computer memory's, and it would take several days of a vehicle sitting for the battery to be drained. Don't immediately assume you have a problem if you see 2-6 milivolts of drain on a battery with the key out, now if your battery is being drained after being parked over night, you have a problem. The easiest way to pin down the problem short is to disconnect your positive battery cable from the battery, take a 12 volt test light and clamp one end to the positive cable, and hold the probe to the positive post. Now if you have a short the light will come on. Have someone help you by pulling the fuses one at a time. If when a fuse is pulled the light goes out you have isolated the short to that system. If you pulled all the fuses and the light never went out try disconnecting all the wires from the alternator, 9 times outta 10 do this will let you know where your short is. If the system is not critical like power locks some people just leave the fuse out.
