Here's what code 52 says: engine oil temperature circuit, low temperature indicated.
An oil temperature sensor? Didn't know an '89 would have such a sensor, but that is the code.

It's under the hood, at front of driver's fender. Your previous question, why it just dies: You need to see if any trouble codes, so here is a link on how to do so with Chrysler products.:

How do I change the front bumper on the Chevy Malibu 2003

I know of no book that tells you how to do body shop work. Recommend you go to some body shops and ask them if there are books explaining how to do such.
Thankfully, the job you ask about is not real hard.
God bless your efforts.

Poition of o b d socket, 1989 lebaron convertable cheers baz

Your '89 has no OBD plug in. To retrieve codes, turn key on, off, on, off, on, off, and then leave on. (Cycle key 3 times on-off, then leave in ON, do not start engine.) Codes will begin to flash on the check engine light (cel). All codes are only 2 digits. Probably see a code 12-one long flash and two short flashes-code 12 is normal, disregard it. If you have to, keep repeating the codes until you get them all. Post them here, or google the codes for help.

Where is the fuel pump fuel located on a 1990 chevy geo tracker

old post. tracker day.
there IS NO dedicated fuel pump fuse. like 1991 to present
but uses the same fuse as ECU and SPARK
IG-COIL

http://www.fixkick.com/INJECTORS/89/89-90schem1.jpg

the orig book by suzuki (eek, GEOs) has an error
and is corrected only on this page.
in red.
btw the car does NOT run the pump key on, until 1991+.
so, you must crank it and check pump voltage !!!
same as 1996 J18 sport engine. (tricky rules no? and i know them)

that relay will break the bank, so learn to tests first.
and how. ask. can do. done many, of these.

Could be the pump. Should be checked for fluctuating pressure.

MY GIRLFRIENDS 89 CHEVY CELEBRITY DIES WHEN TURNING

Try replacing the fuel pump relay, or you may have a PCM (computer) and prom failing. Underneath your hood, behind the passenger side headlight, behind the core support, is a bank of 2-8 relays. One of those relays is the relay needed for your fuel pump. There will also be a fuel pump relay fuse located there.
Inspect that area for any corrosion or loose wire (bad ground) Good luck and here is a link for you to retrieve your DTC codes and that may help you resolve the car's issue.
