SOURCE: Dead battery or starter?

Take the battery out and have it charged up. reinstall it and you should be allright. Your car has discharged it completely, and it will need a recharge to start. The gauge is only measuring voltage, and not the status of charge.

SOURCE: 1994 Toyota Tercel Starter Problems

sounds to me that you have an igniton problem not a starter problem and or if you have or had an alarm system could be cause if u do give me feedback and i will explain but seems that your starter is fine from what u say but if you think in terms of the elemts to start a vehicle batery gives pwoer to ignition which sends to starter which gives spark etc i would check you ignition system something is causeing a short and not alowing starter to function

SOURCE: wont start funny clicking sound when i turn the key ???

The clicking you are hearing, is the sound of a weak battery, Jump start the vehicle and take it to an AutoZone for a Charging System check.

Good Luck!!

I have a freelander 05 td4 diesel When you turn the steering wheel I'm getting a clicking noise from steering Column Has anyone else had this problem ?

It really does not hurt anything but your ears. However, if the noise is annoying you, there is a replacement intermediate steering column shaft available from the dealer that is re-designed to fix this problem.

My freelander TD4 2002 automatic makes a sharp banging noise under the car, usually when you slow down then accelerate, usually turning into a side road... Any ideas??

this is quite comon on the free lander the noise you are hearing is the rear diff jumping due to the failure of one of the mounts (usually the forward one)

let me know if this helps

2002 landrover freelander will not start but when does runs good

I have the same problem with mine (a td4). It is the fuel pump.
Put the ignition key on the position before it makes the engine start, with the dashboard lights on, and with the motor compartment open, try to listen the fuel pump working (it is a cylinder on the right side under the electronic dark boxes). If you don't listen anything, try to knock it with your fingers. In my case it starts to work again and with attention we can listen some noise (tsssssssss). when I hear that noise, I just come back to my seat and start the motor.
I don't know if the fuel pump can be repaired.
Hope it can help anyone...

Landrover stopped working

Hi. Had the same problem with my 02 plate TD4. Turned out to be the in tank fuel pump. apparently it is a problem on this model. When run on low fuel the inlets on the bottem of the pump can block. Not hard to change but make sure you get the right part no. for the pump. Hope this helps regards Mark.
