1968 ford 2000 tractor 3 cylinders number 1 cylinder isn't getting fuel from injector pump the other 2 are is pump bad or not primed right

You need to ensure that here are no vacuum leaks in the line from the tank to the lift pump, the lift pump which looks very similar to a car petrol pump must be in good working order ie able to pump the minimum pressure and volume at cranking speed and idle speed.
If the lift pump is not working properly it will cause cavitation at the injector pump that will cause low pressure bubbles on the intake of the injector pump. If you have a good lift pump and there are no vacuum leaks between the tank and the lift pump then it may be down to bleeding the air out of the injector lines first at the pump, and then at the end of the injector lines (be very careful the diesel is at 170 to 175 times atmospheric pressure which is about 2500 pounds per square inch (which can penetrate skin deeply and even bone). Most of the Ford tractors use a rotary injection pump. Having only one cylinder not pressurizing is extremely unusual, try swapping the injectors between cylinders to see if it is a faulty injector, making sure to use new or at least anneal the old copper sealing washers and tension the injectors evenly with a tension wrench to correct torque. If the misfire then follows the injector it means your need the injectors servicing. New needles & nozzles for injectors is a lot cheaper than a new or rebuilt rotary injection pump. Please advise if it’s an inline pump. (which I doubt they were rare because they cost more).

My fuel pressure goes to 60 pounds when the keys is turned on then starts dropping Is it my fuel pump or pressure regulator? 2004 GMC Yukon XL

Fuel pressure may drop due to a leaking injector or bad check valve in the fuel pump itself. The regulator does not come into effect until the engine is running and a vacuum supply is produced to it. If the regulator is leaking internally, it could send fuel back to the tank as well. Prime the fuel line and pinch off the return line ( if possible ) to eliminate a regulator problem. If the fuel pressure drops with the return line pinched off, suspect a leaking injector or fuel pump. If injector is leaking, the vehicle should run rich and cause a hard start/rough run condition

now, bingo.
leak down fails now.
yes the filers are all in tank
yes, the injectors can leak

un connect fuel rail hose, to rail block it.
hold pressure now
yes, bad leaking injector
no,, pump assy bad. assembly, why takes bench tests.

2004 Lincoln aviator looses fuel pressure after it has been parked for 4-6 hrs. have to turn the ignition on (not Start ) 7-10 times then the vehicle will. start. replaced the intank fuel pump.fuel filter...

i would check the fuel pressure. see how fast the pressure goes down. most cars i have worked on it dosnt take that many key-ons to get fuel. a fuel pressure regulator could be leaking. there is a check ball in the pump to keep the fuel from draining back. since the pump is new, i would check the regulator and poss. the injectors. its poss. for an injector to leak or stick open

I have a 953 track loader the throttle shaft on the injector pump is leaking oil do i have to replace the injector pump

Bad O-ring on shaft. You may be able to do it yourself, but definitely not a complete pump unless you have a cracked pump or serious injection performance problems thus bad engine performance. Double check pump shaft. area. may need to remove a cover to the drive. Usually, there is a diesel return line I suppose there is a slim chance that is pinched or plugged somehow. Check to make sure it's clear. Possible that supply line to Injunction pump is leaking at the connection, also usually a bad O-ring. Find a leak by
wraping a paper towel in places to discover the leak. Or there is
a black light kit with dye to discover leaks.

Turbo diesel cruze periodically won't start then runs like a dog stalling and carying on clutch it and were good to go not coming up with any codes very annoying

check for air in the fuel system, faulty filter seals, faulty pump seals and leaking fuel lines back to the tank. The symptoms described are similar to air at the injectors or low fuel pressure to the injectors. If the system is common rail system ( electronic injectors with a very high pressure pump) then the problem may be in the pump not holding the pressure when stationary. May even be a leaking /faulty injector/s

How do i take a fuel pump out?

If as you say it is a1986 model it will have a carby and no injectors . a worn needle and seat can cause a fuel leak but the engine will run rough or not at all .if the engine runs ok check the fuel lines for a leak. trace the fuel line back to the pump an check for leaks.

Reconed the injector pump and now wont start. have replaced the starter motor. it wi nds over and trys to start. have bleed injectors, has diesel to all injectors .

I think there's a leak on your injector..there problem commonly cause by broken O-rings.

these are the materials you need :

Materials Needed
  • Flare Nut Wrench
  • Splined Socket
  • Wrench Set
  • Socket Set
  • Tweezers
  • 10 O-rings
  • 10 Copper Seats
  • Carb Cleaner
Washing it the day before will give the engine plenty of time to dry. Everything needs to be degreased before you begin, so that you do not get any dirt or debris into the pump or delivery valves.
