This is a later model and not a 1999 and as such it may need the engine diagnostics reading as such this vehicle has to be connected to the internet via dealers digital signature to source the problem ,even if you know what part you need and change it then it still needs programming in to the car computer this is out of the realms of a weekend mechanic and for that matter even a mechanic like myself ,so you will gin and bear it and pay the dealer and get used to this as the newer the car then the less can be done to it by anyone except the dealership.

1998 VW Golf Tdi idle problem, it starts fine wean cold but as soon is hot does start up to 1100 revs for about 2 minutes.

sounds like a failing o2 sensor. or MAF sensor. but it could also be a blocked egr valve, its common on the tdi over time. sometimes don't even register as a fault on ecu codes.

I have a VW Golf mk3 1995 GTI 16V but it has a weird iddleing whenever I have just started it. When I press the gas pedal more and increase the revs, it gets well. Otherwise if I happen to drive straight...

thats because the car is not at operating temperature.you will get a slight drop in power and drivability until its warm.do not try to use any more than 1/3rd gas pedal until its warm anyway.your car has an automatic cold start device (choke)that operates when the car is cold.

VW Golf 2000 1.6 16v automatic. Coolant temp. too low.

Is the heater nice and hot when the needle shows low temp? If the cooling fans turn on and the heater is hot, that leads me to believe the coolant temperature sensor is bad. You should try replacing that sensor. They are only $6 usd here. As long as your check engine light is not on and your fans are running, this will not hurt your car... but this is something you should fix soon if you can. Make sure the engine is cold when you replace the sensor

93 seville sts: engine revs, speed drops,

Probably not the ECM. Have it scanned. IF is is a 93 it means you have a 4.9 motor. They have a solenoid idle cotroll that could be malfuntioning, there could be a problem with the throttle position sensor, or maf, egr, mass air flow, You get the picture. The light is on to tell you what is happening. Most Autozones and Advances will scan it for free. Good luck.
