Initial indicator is the battery light comes on at the dash. When mine went, I got about 2 days warning (with me resetting the computer every time I started the car) Then, driving in the dark, everything shut down (except headlights) wouldn't accellerate, or manual shift at all while driving at all.

After jump starting 2010 camry engine will idle only no acceleration

Hi there, if you have used jumper leads without a surge protector you may have fried your computer, if so it would have put the engine into limp mode, can I suggest take it to your local toyota dealer and have them check it for you. A code reader won't tell you if you have fried something if the MIL is not on

My 2005 Mazda 6 has fallen apart in the last 6 months. The air conditioner has broken 3 times. They replaced the catalytic converter (still under warranty). Have other people had serious problems after...

I have had terrible problems. I have 109,000 miles on it and last month the transmission went, the alternator also went and when it did it sent an electric shock through my car that fried all of my lights, sensors, event the motor in the door. The shock fried my radio and now my air doesn't work.

Mazda kept it for 3 weeks telling me they did not have a loaner car for me and wanted me to pay $50 a day to rent a car. They were terribly slow.

I will never buy another Mazda.

I tried to jump start my jeep with a electric golf cart. It made a big spark and now all it will do is turn over. Could this have fried the computer system? All the lights, windows, dash, and etc.. are...

Depends on how many batteries were in series when you hooked it up. If you supplied the full possible 36 volts, there is no telling what you fried.

Start by checking the fusible links on the fire wall and all fuses.

Lots of luck

disconnecting the battery will not fry anything, unless you touch the wires together or against a metal object

91 CHRY NY Jumps gears (from 3rd to 1st)

you said the speedometer is fried ...i take it that it dont work at all. this may be caused by a bad vehicle speed sensor or input or output speed sensor. this can also cause the tansmission to go into what is called a limp in mode. you need to have the codes read from the transmission controller
