I have a 2010 hhr. My battery dies if the door is open for just a couple of minutes.

Whoa! are you serious? If it drains the battery that fast, you either have a few dead cells in the battery, or there is a short circuit in the door switch.

If it was the switch you could seriously smell something cooking among the wires. 600+amps dead short through an 18 gauge wire = melted insulation and red glowing copper! (also known as fire hazzard)
Since you didn't mention smelling anything or electrical frying sounds, I'm leaning toward a bad battery. Have the battery tested at your local autozone for free. It should still be under warranty methinks.

Hope this helps you out.

Just replaced battery.old one went dead overnight but I had never checked voltage, Now, after installing new battery, voltage remains at 14.9 to 15 volts. Will this fry my batt? Is voltage regulater the...

14.9 to 15 volts is normal for a battery and the voltage regulator is built into the alt they dont often make a rebuild kit for alts anymore so buying a new one is easyer but you dont have to do that cause there is nothing wrong with it.

I have found that sometimes if the starter wire that is attached to the starter is loss it can cause you to have no electric power to anything. Hope this helps. Also Check all fuses inside and outside the vehicle. But first check the starter wires. They can be found going from the Hot post of the battery down to the starter. Hope this helps.

Titan will not start

I think that you have a harness problem. Check the negative batt. cable to see if its tight on the engine. Clean any corrosion. I would check all the grounds in the engine compartment. Very common, for those to corrode and cause problems. There are whole bunch of those in the engine area. There is one under the battery tray also. Check the grounds under the windshield washer bottle. those also corrode and mess up your CAN system in the truck , resulting in no start condition. If you are 100% sure that your battery is good, than check all ground wires.

actually the only thing i can recomend is to have the alternator replace again for warranty and before starting the truck charge the batteries very well with a baterie charger make sure to charge them individually because with a low batterie the alternator has to put a lot of load and might burnt again
specially with dual batterie.
