My saab 9 5 2001 is stuck on fourth gear and wont budge what should i do? also on the dashboard the TLC OFF light is on and transmission light is also on

Sorry but looks like the tran is in trouble ,,, get it plugged in for a diagnostic check first to rule out faulty auctuators or sensors

check linkage if good try to move back and forth rock it might be enough to unmesh the gears if not will need to open transmission for service /repair

2005 saab 95 gear shifter is stuck on park how do


I would guess it is the neutral safety switch. Or a fuse to it. Unless the car is parked on a grade. Sometimes this can cause the transmission to lock! Get a buddy and try rocking the car back and fourth. See if it will come out of park. Good luck hope this helps!

I have a saab 93 and the check gear box light came on for the transmission came on and wont pull or engage gear can anyone help.


the old 9-3 have a problem with the neutral switch,its mounted on the transmission and it tells the transmission module what gear its in ,if it goes bad,the module does not know which gear its in and will not allow the car to be driven.

1996 saab 900s wont shift into reverse gear on a manual transmission


I assume you have owned this car for a while and now how to get into reverse. this problem may be due to worn shifter or bushings to linkage for ****** or shifter, and last may be an internal trans problem. you will need to do some checking . have some one help you as you move the shifter and look for play in the shifter arm or linkage,good day.

Car stuck in gear


Is it an automatic or standard? If it's standard, check the shifter cable, automatic, I would do a fluid flush, change the tranny filter, and make sure the pan isn't bent. I know someone who had the same problem, they thought they needed a new tranny, but they just needed a new filter (cost a couple bucks at the auto parts store), and then they noticed the pan was bent, which wasn't allowing clearance for the larger gears to be engaged.
