Question about 2006 Audi A6 3.2
I have a 2005 audi a6 3.2 quarto an when I start it and let it run white smoke come out of exhaust the emission control light is on do you no what can be problem I don't see no leaks.
You have a "blown head gasket" This means that the gasket seal between the cylinder head and the cylinder block has failed. Coolant is getting into the combustion chamber (cylinder) and being heated into steam.. If you carefully smell the exhaust FROM A DISTANCE, don't stick your nose in the tail pipe, you will detect a sweetness to the steam from the glycol in the coolant. Now you need to either get a quote to have it done, or research how to do it yourself. If you are NOT a fair to decent mechanic, then don't try doing yourself.
If you pull the spark plugs you can narrow down the area where it's failed. The CLEAN plug is where it is.

SOURCE: Banging noise coming from engine
There are 3 possible reasons the oil light would go on. The 1st and 2nd reason would be due to no oil lubrication of engine components. This could be from a failed oil pump, or critically low oil level. The 3rd possibility would be a defective oil sending unit giving a false reading of a problem. You should always immediately pull over and shut the vehicle off if the oil light goes on, as driving the vehicle could result in severe damage to the engine. The banging noise you hear and the black smoke is probably due to a major engine problem, due to lack of engine lubrication. How much oil did you have to add to bring it up to full level?

A vehicle's Emission Control Light is a generalized indicator that there is fault or possible malfunction in the vehicle's operating system. In some cases, these warning lights will come on if a gas cap is not fully closed. It could any one of a number of sensors such as the o2 sensor or map sensor. The thing to do is have a reputable mechanic/technician run a diagnostics test on the vehicle.

its the sensor in the brake pedal, happens mostly at cold nights since cold weather loosens up the pedal it causes the pedal to go down by itself if like you were braking, I used to roll up the matt and put it underneath the pedal and that would put pressure upwards while i was researching on how to do it myself found out is complicated and decided to take it to the mechanic for a 200$ fix.

I had an Audi A4, 10 years older than yours mind you, but it would start then stop, sometimes 10 times but would eventually go. I ran a little WD40 in the key barrel and put the key in and out a couple of dozen times. Wiping it with a cloth each time, lots of dirt came off. My theory and it's only mine, is that the wear on the key left dirty metal deposits inside which stopped the chip in the key being recognised. I believe they had a security chip inside the key.
Anyway after 6 months of this nuisance it never happened again after that. Fixed my problem and a lot of frustration. Maybe help you too.
