SOURCE: Xterra Transmission Filter

the filter is made of metal mesh and doesn't need to be changed...only flushed and refilled with trans. fluid.

SOURCE: 05 nissan xterra transmission shifts fine taking

Install a new aftermarket radiator IMMEDIATELY

NISSAN WILL NOT HELP ANYONE AT ALL. DO NOT EVEN GO TO THEM
READ THE INTERNET BLOGS.

ALL 2005,2006,2007 and possibly 2008 Nissan Trucks have BAD RADIATORS from rad mfg.

The trans cooler is bad and leaks coolant into the trans .
Your trans is most likely already ruined NO,NO,NO Nissan Warranty or help AT ALL

I have a Nissan xterra engine 3.3 model.2002 my problem is run to slow is automatic transmission thanks

most likely you have a transmission problem (not shifting gear). the least thing you can do is to check the fluid (transmission oil) level.

Changed xterra manual automatic transmission , now it's overheating

What's overheating? the engine or the transmission? If the transmission is getting hot, then most likely the cooler lines weren't cleaned. If it is the engine. It's just coincidence. Start with the thermostat.

When was the last time the transmission was serviced? It should be serviced every 40,000 miles or so. I would think you should service it and make sure dirt & grime are not causing the shift solenoid or the valve in the valve body to stick
