Sounds like you lost the charge from the alternator.
When the alternator quits charging your battery light comes on and your car will run on battery power only...and only for a short time.
As the battery gets its stored energy used up...everything that is electrical will get slow or dim.
I'd check your alternator for proper operation and its drive belt...
Hi,
Did the engine stops?
Sounds like your battery died and the alternator stop charging the battery?
Did you try to restart the engine?
Give us more details please.
thanks for asking FixYa!
sounds like you are having a short circuit, my guess is something in your ABS unit has failed, if it were me and ANYTHING AT ALL was happening that should not especially with something as important as the brakes on your car, i would get it serviced immediately, you probably shouldnt even drive it to your mechanic but get it towed there instead. any trouble that is brake related is a serious issue.
squeal sounds like lose alternator belt and that would make sense if belt sliping lights will dim rear brake light probley a bulb radios dispaly may have short or just going bad
you have to check all fuses with a test light both fuse boxes under hood and under dash... if good next to look for is the light switch itself... has any radio work been done to the lately... if so alot of times hooked up wrong will blow park fuse as one of the wires to radio is the park voltage to tell radio to dim down some
First check to see if the fuse to the radio is burned out. Then check to see if you are in fact geting power to both the radio and the radio memory. There are two power wires going to the radio unit. One is always hot the other only when the key is on. If all of these things check out to be good you have a burned out tuner in the radio. It some times happens when the voltage is more than 12.5 volts.
Thanks!
