My 2003 Honda Odyssey battery, brake & open doors light is on. I can still start the minivan & drive it around. Do I need a new battery? or is it some other problem?

This seems to be a problem with grounding of those circuits, notice that they are all in the instrument panel and maybe they share a common ground. Are they lit with normal intensity? Does the intensity go up and down if you apply the brake, open or close a door? I doubt that all 3 lights are on for their normal function such as to warn you about battery not being charged, or brake is on. Get a wiring diagram and look into the instrument panel to see how these circuits are grounded though this may be difficult to sort out. You many need assistance from someone with experience.

Keyless remote will not unlock doors. Door was unlocked with key. Car will not start and the key will not release from ignition switch. Is this the anti-theft and haw do I reset it?

Check the car battery there is a battery in the remote as well but its to new to need to be replaced and so is the battery in the car It sounds most likely like there is a bad connection on one of the battery terminals on the cars battery if the bat is dead in the car the remote won;t work and if the bat is dead in the remote it won;t work but the car will hope this helps

Got new head gasket installed-not related to prob.after that bat.went dead, new bat and alt. still drains bat overnight. could it be a short in starter?

Check the main alternator fuse. It is either a block fuse in the fuse box under the hood or it is built into the positive battery terminal. If it is blown your battery will not charge even though everything else is in perfect working order and the alternator light(charge light) on the dash will not light up to tell you there is a problem. You will drive a short distance and the battery will go dead. After recharging it will start right up run OK till it runs out of juice again and dies, etc. Find the fuse and check it is not blown. It is a frustratingly simple fix to a hard to diagnose problem.

1989 Ford F250 7.3L Diesel. Bat light came on then smoked the VR

Thats a guessing game, but first, if the battery light was on, that means no alternator output. So recharge the batteries and be sure they are good, Then replace the alternator. If the batteries and the alt are good, and the battery light is off, then all should be OK.

No charge to bat but runs ok for 2 weeks so far

Sounds like dead battery cell Have bat checked. It's not a good idea to disconnect the battery on a modern computer controled vehicle while the car is running.

2000 XJ8,CAR GOES DEAD AFTER NOT BEING STARTED FOR A WK

when the bat is fully charged , open the bonnet and remove one of the bat. post connections. With the key off (like it is when it sits and dies) and the doors and etc. closed , fan off , radio off.... place the cable you took off on the bat post . if there is a spark or anything... report back.
Also , listen for anything under the bonnet when you do this...
