It is not the year that matters but the engine type. Engines have remained the same for many many years, so covers are very similar. Try checking with a junkyard for one.

SOURCE: Will the tailgate from a 1995 Toyota 4Runner fit a 1997 Toyota 4Runner?

Measure them is the best bet. If you don't have a tailgate on your 97 measure across (length) then measure from the bottom of your bed to the top (width)

Do you mean PCV valve? If so it should be right on top of the valve cover.

I have a 2001 Toyota 4Runner and the CEL came on and also The VSC & Trac off light came on. Put it on a diagnostic scanner and the codes p0171 & p0442 were given. Please help.

check the gas cap rubber for cracks, if you leave the vehicle running when you fill the tank this can also happen, or if the cap is not on straight, the vacuum will not be present and can cause the light.

You have a 3rd generation 4runner. A second generation 4runner parts will not work on yours. You need 3rd gen parts. Although I have a second gen 4runner. Most of your parts will work on my truck. Trying to do what your asking is next to impossible without some custom fabrication

Replace starter on 92 4runner 3vze 3.0 liter

The starter comes out from the passengerside wheel well.Disconnect battery, then jack up vehicle and put a jack stand under the car on the frame. Remove the cover up in the wheel well. Remove front skid plate to gain access to the lower starter bolt. Remove wire hooked to starter and to motor mount. Remove two small bolts on heat shield. If vehicle is an automatic remove kickdown cable bracket. Upper starter bolt can the be removed and the starter will come out.

most parts from 90-95 will interchange. also, alot of parts from the pickups during those years are interchangeable with the 4runner.

Was your charcoal canister replaced? Has anybody inspected all the hoses that connect to the canister. They could have replaced the canister and valves and not the hoses. A dry rotted, cracked hose can cause the check engine light illuminate. Oh yeah, stop topping off your gas tank. When it clicks.......don't add anymore.
