SOURCE: where is the starter relay on a 94 Honda Accord

Yes, it sounds like your solenoid is bad and staying engaged against the flywheel, you could do an amperage draw and a voltage drop test to find out for sure, but you will need an DVOM and a amp clamp. Or you could take it into an auto parts store and they will test it for free. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a Honda CRV (2004) and the steering wheel

Try this.... Sit in the car and grab the wheel, pull or push the steering wheel with your left hand and arm, HARD! while turning the ignition.... Sometimes when you park with the wheels turned the weight of the car bears down on the wheels and has a tendency to lock the column!

Try this; disconnect the negative terminal on your battery. Turn the ignition switch to the on position. Reconnect the negative terminal. that should disarm the alarm.

Lost remote to alarm on 1996 honda civic need to change battery

I had this happen today and called an alarm installer. he said to connect the battery cable (id unhooked it to stop the blaring) then open the door to set off the alarm. then torn on the key ( even tho it wont start the car , turn it on anyway) then look for a toggle switch ( AKA a valet switch) with the key in the on position flip the switch. ( when I did this a noticed a tiny red light come on to the left of the steering column) I turned the toggle back to the original position and then I tried to crank -AND IT CRANKED WITH NO SCREAMING ALARM!!! I was so happy, I had to post this in case it could help someone else.

02 CRV:When my lights or keys alert does not tell me.

I had the same problem with the lights alarm on my 2002 CRV. The alarm is linked in to the door open switch on the drivers side. If you open the door, about half way down on the centre post you'll see a rubber covered push switch. This is held in place by a single phillips screw. Remove the screw and gently pull out the cover. On mine, the wires had become unclipped from behind and just had to be reconnected (push fit).

Apparently this is a fairly common problem caused by the seatbelt being caught in the door and catching the switch.
