Ml320 and fog lights

try changing the relay for the front fogs,the front and rear are not connected in any way,check the fuse box lid for relay location ok

Front Fog Light Assembly

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

1. Remove the two clips and lower mudguard on side that bulb is being changed.
2. Disconnect the harness connector from bulb on back of fog lamp.

Front Fog Light Bulb

1. Locate back cover on fog lamp assembly where bulb is located inside.

1. Remove the back cover.

1. Remove the spring retainer, and then detach the fog light bulb.
2. DO NOT TOUCH HALOGEN BULB!! Oils from skin will cause bulb to explode during operation.
   

The fuse for the fog lights could be in the Fuse Convenience Center under the dash or in the Engine Compartment. It is most likely a fuse, relay, or could be the Fog Light Switch. You need to test each one starting with the Fog Light Switch first,

The procedure to change the fog light is as follows:-- 1) Open the hood and reach down underneath the headlights to unplug the electrical plug from the fog light assembly. Squeeze the top of the release tab and pull the connection off the bulb's ballast. 2)Turn the fog light counterclockwise to remove it from the fog light housing. 3)Install the new fog light bulb.Then connect electrical plugs properly. 4) Test the fog lights by turning it ON. There is a circular cover surrounding the fog light assembly that simply pops off. Behind that cover there are three maybe four torx style screw that need to be removed, then simply just disconnect the electrical connector to the fog light assembly.

1. Remove the fog light mounting screw.
2. Disconnect the connector from the fog light.
3. Turn the socket about 45° counterclockwise and remove it from the housing.
4. Remove the bulb from the socket.

To Install:

1. Install the bulb in the socket without touching the glass with bare hands.
2. Turn the socket about 45° clockwise to install it.
3. Connect the connector to the fog light.
4. Install the fog light mounting screw.

turn ignition to on, press and hold re-set button ,wait for service indicator to go out
