Need a coolant temperature sensor wiring diagram for a 2004 pontiac grand prix gtp

Check engine light on ? The coolant temp sensor is a input to the PCM - engine computer ! All wires come from an go to the PCM . What type of problem are you having ? Maybe able to save you some aggravation an time chasing gremlins . Coolant gauge not working ?
Engine Coolant Temperature Gage
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the engine coolant temperature as determined by the powertrain control module (PCM) or the engine control module (ECM). The IPC receives a serial data message from the PCM/ECM indicating the engine coolant temperature. The engine coolant temperature gage defaults to 100°F (38°C) if there is a malfunction in the engine coolant temperature sensor or the IPC detects a loss of serial data communication with the PCM/ECM.

But if you insist ,you can find free wiring diagram's here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine ! Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on fuel controls . Click the search button then the blue link. The second an third diagrams both show coolant temp sensors . Both go to the PCM .

PICTURE OF PURGE LINE DIAGRAM FORTHE COOLANT SYSTEM OF A 2001 CADILLAC DEVILLE DHS ENGINE

There are a lot of coolant lines around the Northstar engine, but not one called a "purge line" that I am aware of. The coolant system is designed to be a closed system, and is never purged.

However, there is a rubber drain line on the pressurized overflow tank that will release coolant on excessive pressure sensed by the rad cap on the tank, or if the rad cap is faulty. If the system has a leak anywhere, it will not hold required pressure and that will always cause overheating. If you are losing coolant, that is the first place to look (bad rad cap, or cracked tank or line from the tank to the rad).

have a pressure test done on the coolant system to find the position of the leak. May be a hole in the radiator core or loose/ cracked hoses.

Diagram of 2004 3800 v-6 thermostat

sorry no diagram, but if you follow the upper radiator hose back to the engine, you will see if attaches to a small bulbous housing held on with two bolts. this is the thermostat housing. remove this and the stat sits inside. be sure to put a drain pan under the car to catch the coolant that will spill. do not reuse this coolant, top up with fresh. after everything is back together, allow car to idle with rad cap off and heat turned on with fan off to bleed coolant system. recommend performing coolant flush after completing repair.

New Motor, Heater not working, Leaking Antifreeze

Your car is overheating because you did not bleed the cooling system. The hanging hose may be the overflow drain. Unbolt the coolant reservoir, and raise it as high as you can. Start the motor, and add coolant until the heater starts blowing heat. You will see air bubbles in the reservoir until all of the air is out. This is a common procedure when doing any cooling system maintenance on Celicas.
