you must remove the cover on the rear end, remove the 5/16" bolt on center carrier, push the pin that the bolt whent through out, thenp push the axle in, a c clip will fall out of the carrier then axle may be removed,

SOURCE: need to replace rear wheel
It requires a special tool to remove and refit the bearing from hub assembly.Also if its not coming out ,then in some cases the hub has to be replaced. The new hub comes with bearings.
