If the seals around the shafts of master and slave are tight, they may be concealing a leak with fluid bypassing the piston seals internal to the two assemblies. Either your master or slave cylinders need to be replaced ot have new seals installed. Once you find the culprit and have installed a replacement, you will have to bleed the lines to evacuate air trap in the lines.

SOURCE: NEW CLUTCH SLIPPING ON 2004 V6 HOLDEN RODEO

did you bleed the hydralic clutch system on this vehicle? = air in system or not bleed properly.
most of the flywheels for this model were not to be machined...... however it is ok to machine these only slightly but you must machine the surface the clutch plate contacts with the same amount as the outer raised section the pressure plate bolts to.
new flywheels have painted stamped writing saying do not machine...so if hydralic system is ok find out about flywheel.
also may pay to check clamping force of pressure plate most clutch places can do this or some workshops that is if fingers on pressure plate are all at the same height, not broken or cracked..

Just replaced full clutch kit in a 1999 Hyundai Xcel X3, including slave cylinder and flywheel reface. And its slipping as bad or worse than with old clutch, Any ideas

maybe the original problem was the clutch master cylinder
it the compensating port is blocked , it holds the clutch pressure plate off and slips the clutch
not the problem then did the clutch fork( release lever go back in the right wat

2002 x6 jaguar v6 clutch problem how to fix it

more than likely not the clutch but the system to operate the clutch
check slave cylinder for failure
check master cylinder for fluid and failure
bleed the system properly
clutches seldom go just like that but give symptoms like slipping , not disengaging and even that can be from the slave cylinder and /or clutch master cylinder problems
as clutch kits cost in excess of $700.00 aud check everything else first for a 1/4 of the price

A 98 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel with a manual transmission has a hard time shifting in and out of gears the clutch pedal still feels good I was wondering if maybe the slave cylinder could be going bad

IT could be the slave cylinder or the clutch master cylinder
check for fluid leaks at the slave cylinder and if ok replace the master cylinder
if after checking and both units the clutch is still partially engaged
other things causing this problem are spigot bearing in the back of the crankshaft is failing causing the clutch shaft to keep spinning
or if it is a bush there it is dry and causing the same result
a bit of oil or grease on the flywheel of pressure plate can cause the clutch plate to stick rather than slip as well

Why does it drive well for 30 minutes but after that will go into gear but wont move?

I suspect that the full engagement of the clutch pressure plate is not being achieved
if a pressure plate is held at reduced application pressure , it will continuously slip marginally and this build up to a point where the clutch plate will not absorb any more heat and so it fades and slips completely ( same affect as brake fade from worn pads and too heavy brake application -like long down hill runs )
the area I would check is the clutch master cylinder as it appears that the compensating port is blocked , and holding pressure in the clutch line which with increasing heat from the clutch builds up more pressure and compounds the pressure plate problem
this is identical to a heavy truck clutch problem where full testing produced no problems , yet at 100 miles and on a range the clutch failed completely but when cooled down again tested as good
on replacing the clutch pressure plate and clutch plate it was revealed by a clutch specialist shop that the pressure springs were actually weaker that specifications and were in fact allowing the clutch top slip and so go into the fade situation

Were you careful not to get your hands on the face of the clutch disc too much? Any indication of oil or grease around the disc, like from a leaking rear crank seal, when you changed the clutch?
Did you bleed the slave cylinder, to get all air out of the system?

If still no help, someone will have to troubleshoot it. A new clutch should not slip, especially with the flywheel polished to smooth.

are you sure the driven plate is on the correct side? The clutch bearing is correct on high? Does the slave or master cylinder works ok? do they keep steady pressure when needed? Is the clutch kit the correct part according to engine type?

Clutch will not work what parts will i need ?

a repair manual or mechanic who has done it before

a lift or hoist and extensive set of tools, a warm and well lit place to work, being a shop

a new clutch, a new pressure plate, a new throw out bearing, called a clutch kit

a new pre bled clutch master cylinder and slave unit. it is all 14 years old replace it all while it is
apart.

while you have the engine out, remove the flywheel and have it resurfaced.

Clutch pedal goes down to floor but doesnt come back up when some1 starts engine and i put a bar by clutch level and move it we can select gears then i have change master cylinder but no different can you...

sounds like your clutch plate is sticking, i recommend fitting a new clutch kit, while doing this remember to machine the flywheel or you will still have same problem. if this does not work it might be your clutch cable, replace cale first (cheaper option 1st) then replace the clutch kit.

Check the adjustment of the clutch push rod. It is the rod that connects the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder.
