Sounds like you can hear the rocker arms or tappets in the valve cover because there is no oil circulating. Get an oil pump

Car overheats makes a loud clicking sound from under the hood

The loud clicking and/or ticking noises that emanate from an overheated engine is actually the metal parts expanding or contracting due to the heating or cooling down. This is a sure sign of severe overheating.

I have a 1999 5.4 f150 4x4 loud knocking started on passanger side also guages all pinned and bounced around truck runs rough and stalls what could it be

it sounds like a critical internal failure is eminent . if the oil pressure is ok,it could be a bent or broken valve as the exhaust leak can let the valves cool to fast and warp. however it sounds more critical than that. do a compression test on that side and see if the #'s are consistent.

Loud ticking noise coming from motor

This is probably tappet noise from the top end of the engine. However you should have it looked at quickly as these engines had a severe problem with oil sludging, even when recommended services were done.
This caused all sorts of problems, so see if you can get it fixed before the engine develops something terminal.

2001 mazda running hot, changed water pump, themerstat and themerstat case, still runs hot. Once the fans come on to coll the motor, it is so loud, could the fans motor be the problem?

Yes it could. Not turning fast enough will create an overheating problem. Also let it go long enough it could break and take out the radiator.

My 2006 Kia Optima is making a clicking sound. It has been doing this for over 6k miles now, so I don't think it's that bad. I drive fast and hard, but has not gotten worse. Help??????

I assume we are talking about a motor noise. A lot of people assume a clicking sound is a valve noise. Most of the time a loud clicking noise is actually a bad exhaust gasket. An air leak on an automotive exhaust manifold sounds like a loud tick or click. Try changing the gaskets on both sides of the exhaust manifold . This should take care of the clicking.

A loud ticking noise?

No I would not chase to the pistons, these vehicle were very comon in creating HLA noise hydraulic lash adjusting valves, meaning the valves pump up with oil as the oil gets thinner they dont pump up as fast and create a very loud ticking noise, I would not express a great concern over simplicity, dodge was famous for this, they really were.

What is wrong with my 1996 toytoa roadrunner when the motor is making a loud ticking sound, it does not smoke

Sounds like it could be time for an oil change. Toyotas have small oil galleries going to the top of the motor and not changing your oil at the recommended mileage can cause sludge to build up causing the top of the motor to starve for oil which can cause ticking. swiftautorepairs.com

pull your valve covers and look at you rocker arms see that none are lose if there isn't any lose then you may have a bad lifter witch once you pull your valve covers you will see rods on the far side of the rocker arms, at the bottom of every rod there is a lifter witch rides on the cam shaft. to fix this you have to tear down the top or the whole motor, good luck
