Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

Hi there I have CRV 2009 and right now ENGINE CHECK is ON and "D" is blinking when I drive. I scan it (p0843) so it's the TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE SWITCH. I have replaced that parts already and ERASE THE CODE I thought it was ok already cuz shifting was pretty good now not like before. But the next day when I was driving the ENGINE CHECK came ON and "D" starting to blink again. Can you please tell me what else could be the problem? Thanks..

SOURCE: Misfire codes on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Regardless of why the misfire is happening, the shop needs to find and make it right. If you don't return it to them, they can claim it's a new problem, unrelated to the work they did. As I don't have any idea if any sensors were imported with the new engine or if anything was damaged on install, I really can't comment past what I've said.
Hopefully you are dealing with a reputable competent shop...If so, aside from the obvious annoyance, they should definitely take care of the problem for you. I would check fluid levels to make sure that they are good and perhaps even check sensors to make sure they are all on securely but past that I would do nothing more. As far as driving, since you don't know what's wrong, I'd limit driving to only what's necessary but no more.

SOURCE: automatic transmission will only shift manually

This is a sensor issue. It can be from a couple of different sensors. The VSS, or vehicle speed sensor is the main one. Loose or faulty wiring can cause it, a faulty PCM can cause it, or the Throttle Position Sensor can cause it.

SOURCE: my 2002 honda has a transmission problem went to

Dear Williammoody,

I saw your advice to terry69jam on Sep 26, 2009.

I have the same error code p1750 which shows up as "Mechanical Problem in Hydraulic Control System of A/T Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid." Your initial recommendation to terry69jam is replacing a tranny. Was your later suggestion on replacement of the shift solenoid can be made in lieu of replacing a tranny? Does "pack" mean the shift solenoid? If yes, where can I find a replacement and how much would that cost?

Check transmission fluid condition and has the mileage reached for the recommended change. If the tranny is computer controlled, get it scanned for error codes.

Check engine light on and D blinking in drive on 2003 CRV

It means that there is a problem with the transmission, this is usually accompanied by a shifting issue and is usually caused by a bad transmission solenoid. Take to a shop to have transmission codes checked to see what the problem is.

Honda stream 2009 'D' blinking light. diagnostic says po843 code

take it in, get it fixed ? stream?) not sold here, so alldata.com has nada.
or if DIY person
RTM , read the manual the FSM. its all there, look up 843
it tells you all the tests to do , that isolates the true cause of failure.

D flash means the tranny TCM is unhappy.
the CEL glowing too.
the P0843 means.
Data:
P0843: Open in Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch A (2nd Clutch) Circuit, or Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch A (2nd Clutch) Stuck OFF

When I engage my crv into drive the D on the dashboard that is lit up green is blinking, what's up with that?!

It is the transmission version of a check engine light. Have a mechanic run the codes. Chances are the fluid may need changed, although that is not the only possible issue. If it is still working ok there is still time to have the issue resolved.

Noisy Transmission on my 2009 Honda CRV

If you have an automatic transmission, locate and check the transmission fluid dipstick to ensure you have enough fluid.

If manual transmission, usually you can only check it by unscrewing a bolt. (the fluid lasts a long time and shouldn't leak -look for fluid on the bottom of the transmission or under the car..)

I have not worked on these, so I am just guessing.

The noise could also be not in the transmission perhaps..
