Sounds like you have a short in your electrical system somewhere.. you can turn everything electrical off in the vehicle, then take one of you batt. cables.. if it sparks when you touch it back to the batt. it's probably a short.

My 98 lincoln continental keeps cutting off I changed the alternator and battery but my dash keeps blinking and it says check my charging system Wat could it be

Preliminary checks to the charging system should be made regardless of the fault condition. These checks include:
  • Check fuses/fuse links to the generator to make sure that they are not burned or damaged. This condition, resulting in an open circuit or high resistance, can cause erratic or intermittent charging system concerns.
  • Check battery posts and cable terminals for clean and tight connections. Clean the posts and cables to verify good electrical contact.
  • Check for secure connections at generator output, voltage regulator and engine ground. Also check connection at the power distribution box and harness.
  • Check generator drive belt to verify proper tension and no slip between the generator pulley and drive belt. Refer to Section 03-05 .
  • Check battery for full charge as described

Doesnt start just does click click and battery is 100% charged

Is your battery free of any corrosion? If not, it will keep the cables from making a good solid connection with the battery. When cleaning the battery cables and terminals, wear eye protection, gloves and a dust mask.

Brand new battery, alternator checked out good but charge drains overnight. Help please I don't know where else to look.

Pull interior light fuse and the clock fuse, then disconnect the NEGATIVE battery terminal, and place a volt meter in between the terminal and the cable... There should be very little current. You can also wire a light in between the batt and cable, if no voltmeter is available.
Most common issue is diodes in the alternator. Alt can test okay on some tests, and still have an issue. Failed diodes leak power to ground.

So, keep disconnecting stuff until you get no voltage at the meter or light in series with the battery and cable...

With this method, you should be able to find the culprit.

Some thing keeps killing my battery

Had broken battery terminal on my wifes car, fixed that but saw a fuse on the battery cable, never saw that before on a car. I wonder if a fuse is not letting your battery charge? Most of the time if you put on a new battery it is a good battery since they don't prepare the battery (add acid etc. ) until it sells.

Dead Battery

Make sure your cables positive and negative are in good shape. If they are, remove the negative cable and use a test light to jump across the neg. terminal to the cable. If there is a power draw, the test light will illuminate. At this point, remove the fuses one at a time until the test light turns off. What ever that particular fuse goes to is the circuit with the power draw. Hope this helps.
