Changed heads due h/gasket ,tried to start engine however started but bad misfiring shaking etc checked leads now what ?

Misfiring engine, blown head gasket, bad motor mounts, and number of things it could be. Try listing the year, make, model, size motor. If it's a 1996 or newer model, plug an OBD II code reader into the ECU and see what engine codes are being thrown.

The seeet smell is antifreeze. You have a blown head gasket or intake gasket.

yes bad leads will be one of the faults
run the motor in the dark raise the bonnet look for sparkle trails
on the leads

coil pack could be faulty

compression test will tell if it is a leaky valve

back fire can be running lean or timing

Definetly sound like a misfire, possibly leads on incorrectly, or bad leads/spark plugs.....definetly explain lack of power and shakiness

Check to see if the two cylinders misfiring are on the same coil pack. If so, change the coil pack in question.

This happened to me on 1997 Cadillac Deville Limousine.

Also, check for a blown head gasket with compression test.

When a cylinder is misfiring, this dirupts the balance of the engine and the computer is sometimes unable to compensate during a misfire.

This also, can often cause erratic engine behaviour...and shaking like a tank.

It may simply be a bad spark plug, HT lead, or something more serious.

Have the onboard diagnostics checked first - this will indicate which (if any) electrical component is at fault.

This can be done by a local Toyota dealership, with the correct scanning equipment.

-It could be low compression due to blow head gasket, Burn valve. Bad injector (s). Low fuel presure

The block sealer you used may have been too thick or too big. A leaking head gasket or cracked head is a rare cause for a cylinder misfire. Tryin putting a manufacture gasket back on and change the spark plugs. If that doesnt work, try checking your valves or pistons-- maybe you have worn valve guides or your cylinder wall is worn out.

I had the shaking problem too, had the #5 coil replaced and the shaking instantly stopped.
