Problem for Ford 1996 Taurus

96 Ford taurus surging when stopped at lights

check engine light came on, p0401 egr problem. replaced the valve. cleared code, light came on 20 mins later. Any ideas on why it could be surging... I live in AZ its getting hot but it never did this before.

you replaced the wrong part. a common problem with this code is the D.P.F.E. SENSOR. ford has revised this sensor due to so much trouble with the old ones. i would get this part from ford so you know you are getting the revised part
