first remove the airbox and everything hooked up to the throttle body to see clearly.if youre car is std you must remove 2 bolts holding the clutch cable on the transmission then remove the pin holding it in place once you remove that you will see 1 of 2 bolts holding the starter in place use flash light to see clearly then remove it (14mm bolts i think ).after you do that the 2nd bolt is 4- 6 in. to the right it might be covered in dirt build up so you might not see it to remove it either through the bottom of car or throught the top.

maybe you should weigh your options cause probably cheaper to replace that rebuild disconect bat before you remove starter take all wires loose remembering where they go dont mix up and remove 2 or 3 bolts that hold the starter in place then remove and replace in reverse order

Yes, the solenoid is a seperate part attached to the starter. It should have constant power on one terminal and Power on the other when the key is turned to the crank position

what interchange year would work on your year and they will tell you
