These codes are codes regarding failure. The code P0300 means repeated Engine Misfiring. The code P0303 means Repeated Misfiring of Cylinder Number 3. Kindly contact a technician to get both checked. Their Heads must have been misplaced or broken due to misfiring.
Thank you sir, Have a nice day.

Codes p0171 p0303 p0325 car missing

p0171 = fuel system too lean, this means vacuum leak or faulty oxygen sensor

p0303 = cylinder 3 misfire

p0325 = knock sensor malfunction.

p0303 and p0325 - i can see these working together, if a cylinder misfires, it will cause the knock sensor to trip. I would lean towards the coil and or ignition module, along with a faulty oxygen sensor.

Also has codes p0303 cyt.3 misfire, also p0455 evap sys. with leak

A P0303 code means that the the car's computer has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #3.

A code P0303 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Faulty spark plug or wireFaulty coil (pack)Faulty oxygen sensor(s)Faulty fuel injectorBurned exhaust valveFaulty catalytic converter(s)Running out of fuelPoor compressionDefective computer

Possible Solutions:If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

DTC P0455 - Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (no purge flow or large leak).This indicates a fuel vapor leak or lack of purge flow in the EVAP control system. It means a large leak has been detected. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.

A code p0455 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
A loose or improperly affixed gas capA non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand)Other leak or damaged piece in EVAP system
With a p0455, the most common repair is to:Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.Otherwise, replace the gas cap, and/orInspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses (you may hear a vacuum noise or smell fuel), repair if necessary

Hope helps.

I have several codes on my 1998 windstar they are P0303, p0171, P0402 and P0174. Is there one or two items I can change that may resolve some or all these codes?

The 303 is a misfire, and if there's no issue with the plugs or wires, I've replace a TON of ignition coils. If you remove the coil pack and see ANY type of crack in the mold on the bottom, replace it, it's done! The 171 and 174 are typically the intake plenum seals. The plenum gasket doesn't need to be replace, but the lower seals and bolt/seal kit (the bolts that hold it on to the intake manifold) require changing.

I connected a scan tool to my 1997 mazda 626 and I got 3 fault codes P1407,P0303,P0171please help

My advise is to look at what moistcabbage had to say about your problem. Then I will add a little advise:
Put the P0171 on hold until you have a verified fix for the other 2 codes. Here's why:
A misfire causes raw fuel and air to be shoved down the exhaust as an unburned mixture (After all. that's what a misfire is.) This can cause the free oxygen level in the exhaust to rise and cause the lean code (P0171) From the EGR code that you have, I can tell that you have the 2.0L engine in your car. (This is not a valid code for the 2.5L) In this case, moistcabbage is sort-of correct. Thiscode actually indicates that the EGR valve does not move when the computer commands the EGR to open. (Which SHOULD also be producing a P0400 code, which is EGR no or low flow.) If P0400 is not present, then chances are that this is caused by the EGR sensor "lying" to the computer and telling it that the EGR is not opening when it really is. However, it also may be telling the truth and the computer just hasn't picked up on the low flow issue yet. Anyway, if the EGR is not moving, it could be caused by a vacuum leak, which will also cause your P0171code.
The logical order of this would be to check for obvious causes of misfire like the spark plug, wire, coil, and fuel injector and correct as necessary. Also check the EGR system out to find out what the cause of the EGR not moving code is. (And repar as necessary) Then clear the codes and drive the car to see if the P0171 code returns. If P0171 returns and the other codes stay gone, then you will have to check into oter possible causes of the lean code. Otherwise, I would not waste any time checking into a lean condition at all before the other two codes are confirmed fixed.

Check Engine Light see codes below

P0171 is LEAN and P0303 is misfire number 3 cyl. Its time to stop guessing and pay for a correct diagnosis. Find a shop that works on VW and has the tools to work on it. DO NOT put those Bosch Platinum Spark plugs in that Ottozone tries to sell everybody.
