Under engine splash guard falling off do we need it on renualt scine

Hello Tom McCrory,

Unless it has changed significantly a couple of in-expensive fasteners (plastic (I think)) can easily re-attach it.

Renault has not been imported in the USA since 1987... but as a YOUNGER I did work on them (Dauphine)... and while my impression of them was DEFINITELY not AMERICAN IRON... they were well engineered (even back then, circa 1964).

Meanwhile AMERICAN IRON is nearly extinct.

My opinion:
Parts are not on these (any) cars simply because an ENGINEER had nothing better to do...

(there is a decent after market outlet... peddling splash guards).

I am twice retired from a couple of huge CORPORATIONS... Business cases HAD TO BE FILED for EVERY REVISION, ENGINEERING CHANGE, cost reduction...& trips to the bathroom... (ought to be funny ... if it weren't so true).

My guess would be YES ... you need it.

When you consider the millions GENERAL MOTORS (example)
saves by skimping on the PAINT THICKNESS... or using cheesy plastic parts in their ignition switches (my opinion)...

I'm thinking actually designing, engineering, fitting & shipping costs for a single PART would CONFIRM the parts purpose & presence.

Now... on the other-hand:
If a POLITICIAN had designed the vehicle... or that splash guard...
I'd IMMEDIATELY dismiss the needed NOTION as UTTERLY ridiculous... and TOSS that PART faster than yesterday's FISH WRAPPER.

Hoping this was helpful...?

How to remove grease splashes from emulsion painted wall

Basically you can't without affecting the Paint underneath ((
If only light splashes then a conventional kitchen cleaner will do BUT only put the cleaner on the cloth, work a small area at a time.
After doing getting it off and allowing it to dry, then use a lint free cloth, soaked in warm water to "scrub" paint from surrounding areas into damaged area but not too hard otherwise will go through the paint levels. Then allow to dry naturally ))

Dent in my car door

If the dent is not severe and the paint has not cracked around the edges of the dent then an accredited panel beater will be able to pull it back out using suction cups ( like those used to carry sheets of glass) If it is really bad but has not affected the door interior then the quickest and cheapest fix is to have a new door skin fitted. This is a panel beaters job and a door repaint. The last option is to get a door the same colour if possible from the wreckers and have it fitted .

Wind screen dul

What you have is a polarised effect from bad glass. Have a talk to a windscreen replacement shop and find out if there is anything that can be done.. This may also be from oil on the screen . Use keytone ( a paint product from a paint shop or hardware shop) and clean the screen

How can i prevent my bathroom ceiling paint from peeling off

One of the main reasons for the breakdown of paints in bathrooms, is of course moisture. Do you have a fan/ventilation system, (not just a recycling air filter,) that can be turned on when you bathe or shower? This would help. Also, a better type of finish would be an eggshell or satin finish type paint. The moisture cannot gather to the same extent on this type of finish.

I live in South Africa and have a Mazda midge 323 160i 5 door hatch back but am not sure of its year model. My registration papers show the first year of registration as 1997, but I am not sure. The...

the only ones who could tell you the year and place of assembly from the chassis number is the parts department of the local mazda dealer ,but another good guide is the glass in the windows ,where it says toughened ,somewhere under a letter in the word toughened is a dot ,well this dot signifies the year of manufacturer of the glass ,but i cannot remember what year is what as to the relation of the dot .Also most engines have the same last 5 numbers as the chassis number so yours could have another engine from a scrap`yard which is why your asking what year is the car as its not lining up when you look in a manual ,if in any doubt check the chassis number stamped into teh chassis not the vin plate on the front of the vehicle
