My check engine light went on after two months of stabiltrak light going on and off. The codes listed were p0404,p1779 and c0561

PO135 is oxygen sensor Bank1 sensor1. PO404 is EGR.
personally, I'd pull EGR off, clean pintle good with throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner, re-install, erase codes & try it for a while & see if it code(s) come back.

I suspect the EGR got stuck closed, u will need to put around 30 miles on the car before the light will return if the problem is still present..

404 is exhaust gas recirculation circuit, and 405 is exhaust gas recirculation sensor circuit low. EGR sensor or ground?
