1985 F-150 351 windsor Engine will not crank.Have new batt,Fender ignition solenoid,starter

You check the relay out for the starter also did you try to trip the solenoid on the firewall to see if it cranks from that just to eliminate because if it cranks from tripping the solenoid and what you stated you replaced is new and not used I would say in the ignition but if you replaced with used parts good chance could be a bad starter unless it was tested as well as solenoid it can be a dud

bad starter relay in the PDC fuse box.
or bad ignition switch control output (crank key signal) to relay bad.
then engine may destroy the starter drive, if this keeps happening.

Wont start for 10 min

Have your charging system tested and include the Battery. Go to ,register your vehicle for free, get free wiring diagrams and Fusebox layouts. Have a starter draw test done.

Check the relays for the fuelpump, ignition, and PCM. Sometimes the horn relay can be the same part number and be interchanged.

What you are describing can be many things. You have more compression in a hot engine, you have different timing in a hot engine because vehicles run so lean today. The O2 sensors may be keeping the engine too lean to restart after a warmup. Relays can overload when hot and kick out the connections. Your fuelpump can be failing.

You did not indicate how far you drive when this happens. If you are driving 10 miles a weak battery will not recharge, but a 100 mile trip gives it more opportunity. The starter draw test will tell if the starter is bad. The starter may cool down overnight, but frequent restarts may heat the starter with it failing.

Having starter relay problems 1994 5.2 liter grand cherokee

check all connections from battery to starter solenoid, check your ground connection as well to motor block. If solenoid clicks when key is turned it is most likely a bad connection somewhere if it does not click it can be a bad solenoid, a bad neutral switch from transmission. If it does click and you have checked ALL connections then you may just have a bad starter.

may be a bad starter or starter colenoid on the starter, have you tryed to boost car at all?suggest that you check for bad starter because the starter colenoid comes with the new starter. also, make sure the battery terminals are tight, the engine won't start without a good connection. thank you for choosing

On short trips wont start after cut off now going down highway just cutoff and wont restart....?????

Your main power relay is the likely culprit that's bad. Have it checked and replaced if necessary. The no start after short trips was a clear sign of your main relay going bad.

91 ford ranger 2.9 super cab: Starter keeps turning/cranking

With fords you have to have to battery tip top condition (a must).
Now when you refer to the starter solenoid, are you talking about the relay on the passenger side fender well. If so, start there.
With the starter wire or trigger wire disconnected, Start running your tests.
Find out if its something to do with the trigger wire or if it has to do with the relay.

1996 Dodge Stratus keeps blowing fuse to starter!

Need to look at symntec and see if there is a relay on the starter. Which there most likely is. and it is bad. Look at the fuse and see if there is another wire going from the fuse to a relay,if so replace that relay.
