Question about 1987 Pontiac Firebird
Wont start like dead battery
It is worth checking the volt drop across crimped terminals. I was called out to a GM car that wouldn't start some of the time. It had apparently already cost the owner plenty for abortive call-out charges and checks that revealed nothing.
That fault when I found it was a dirty crimp between the positive battery terminal and the cable which looked and behaved normal until the starter demanded a supply of current when it would act just like a dead battery.

Need more info.... If you are getting more than five years out of a battery, every day is a free gift. Ten years and you are running on borrowed time.
