Question about Ford Cars & Trucks

I have a 2005 mark 2 ford focus and the backlight on the heater doesn't work.

I have a 2005 mark 2 ford focus and the heater works fine, the only problem is the controls don't light up so I have to turn on the internal light to change the settings when its dark. The light on he A/C and the window heaters work fine. It's just the 3 dials that rotate to change the heater settings. Any ideas what is wrong?

Probably just the light itself has burned out the light should be cheap under 10.00 but there are might be a few panels you have to take off to get to it, and will probably break a few plastic hangers as well but those are pretty cheap as well. I do recommend buying a decent interior panel pliers. they make things so much easier.

SOURCE: Heater/ac switch speeds 1 and 2 don not work in 99 Silverado

you need a resister found under your air duct by the passenger floor under dash board auto zone sells these for about 25.00 you may as well buy cabin air filters while your at it . 1 of the screws will be a pain to install back into the duct work I left mine out didn,t make a difference . you might have to order it as they are a comman item oh you will need a vacuum to clean up mess from cabin air filters .this is not a hard job .

SOURCE: heater fan only works on fastest speed

Your blower motor resistor has gone bad, it should be located next to your blower motor in the car, held in place with a couple of screws, remove it and replace it. The resistor is responsible for making the blower motor run at slower speeds than high or (4). Let me know if this helps.

SOURCE: heater blower not working on seting 1 2 or 3 but

You'll need to check the voltage coming out of the switch. If it proves to be okay than you'll have to replace the resistor block in the heater box, this is a small rectangular black plastic plate with four wires connecting to it. It should be located under the hood on the passenger side firewall. Remove the two 5/16ths retaing screws and remove the block. To replace reverse the order given here. Thank you, Dana

My 2005 ford focus CD player doesn't eject the disc out. what is the problem. second i got 2007 ford focus stereo but the connection harness is different how do i convect it to connect to my 2005 ford...

It is very common on Ford models of that year to have cd's not eject. If you are using burned cd's, these are generally to thick for the player to handle. Working at the Dealership i have seen this many times. As far as the wiring harness, its colors should be the same as the old one , so you need to cut off the connectors and reattach.

My Ford Focus station wagon. When I have the heat

your damper doors are not closing in the box itself properly and also you need to check the flow rate trhough the heater core its highly possible the heater core is possibly clogged with dirt and debrise' sometimes you can just reverse the ehater hoses and drive the vehicle for a few hours or even days and that bach flushes the dirt out of the core then you will need to drian your radiator and refill with clean antifreeze
