Question about 2009 Mazda MAZDA5

Wipers just smear when lightly raining?

I recently bought new wipers for my mazda 5. Before replacing the wipers I had used rain-x and now the brand new wipers seem to leave an odd smear on the windshield for a few seconds. Any suggestions?

It is most likely ;that your car has a film of some residue on the windshield. A good cleaning could help, and I have heard people have used an glass ware cleaning solution, called Barkeepers friend, or dishwasher powder and a sponge.

Before you worry too much about the ignition switch, just check the fuse for these functions - it may well be that a fuse has blown and you just need to replace it.

Replace the wiper motor often time there is a dead spot on the commutator. If you want to be sure unplug the motor and use a jumper wire with 12 volts to the appropriate terminal to energize the motor, you may need to ground one of the teminals to get it to work, if the motor runs with out interuption then yes it is most likely the wiper switch bad ground or a break in the harness somewhere, check and repair the easiest first ground wire motor jump wire check etc. then the switch.

Audi a4 windscreen wipers juddering vibrating

The problem you have comes from wiper blades causing friction in light rain conditions and can be cured by cleaning the rubber that contacts your windscreen with a rubber cleaner/conditioner or you can use spray silicone on the blades.

What windscreen wiper do I need for my Nissan Primera?

Wiper blade refills that just snap into place are the best way to service your wiper arms. These vary from standard equipment replacements to high performance tested refills. The cost varies too. From about $5. each to about $20. each...The standard replacements are usually fine...the "stealth" designs are wind tunnel tested, and may perform better for you. I demand a clear windshield, (and all windoes) and I also use "rain-ex" polich on all of the outside glass...Be sure to follow instructions on the rain-ex...It helps all windscreen wipers perform, and last longer. Hope this helps.

My windshield wipers stop working, I have bought the motor, the switch, and new wipers, they still are not working what do I do, It is a 1994 Crown Victoria(Ford) and I need my wipers when it rains.

Hi if you have changed the motor for your wipers and the switch i would sugest you trace beck the Earth for the motor, it will not work if the earth if corroded or broken, try running a new wire from motor earth point to a new location just as a test.
Good Luck

Windshield wipers will turn on but at times won't shut off

Your windshield wipers come on because of the position that the wiper control is set. Wipers will come on intermittently if you set it for light rain or snow or it can be set to come on immediately and fast for hard rain or snow. Please make your windshield wiper adjustments by turning the control knob or lever to the desired position.

Wiper Motor problen

Most likely this is caused by something binding or water getting inside the motor, either way it is tripping the thermal overload inside the wiper motor.
