driver's side under the hood above the brake master cylinder ....should be 2 relays there... it's the outer one... they are identical and you can swap them temporarily to check that your fuel pump relay is working.

It's on the driver's side about half way up the dash. Almost ,kinda sorta by the back of the headlight switch. They're a pain in the ***. If I remember right I used to take the head light switch out to get it.

SOURCE: 92 chevy c2500 very high idle
you might have gotten the throttle sensor wet, to the point that it shorted out. the throttle sensor is on the side of the throttle body / by the accelerator linkage. unhooking this sensor while the engine is running, will make the engine idle at or around 1500rpm....when you disconnect the sensor while the engine is running, and the RPMs go DOWN, then the sensor could be in the process of malfunctioning. if the RPMs go UP then the sensor is completely bad. either way, it will need to be replaced, and these are about $10 - $30, depending on where you get them.....places like auto-sone and napa have them in stock ALWAYS. also, invest in a diagnostic tester, because they really come in handy in situations like this and you can find one for as cheap as $25 at auto-zone AND napa.

Testimonial: "Thank you that's probably exactly what it is"
Under the black plastic panel on the firewall above the heater hoses under the hood there is a fuse and a relay for the fuel pump.

It is on the left side of the steering column, below the instrument panel. It is easiest to open the driver's door, then lie on the floor and look up under the dash with a flashlight.
