SOURCE: blinking sound that want stop

The simple solution could be the turn signal flasher (which are generally located under the dashboard). Very inexpensive. But you say that smoke was coming out of the turn signal arm. In that case it could be shorted out. To replace the turn signal arm assembly is pretty expensive. Maybe around $200.00 for parts and labor at a shop. Good Luck!

SOURCE: when I turn on my headlights, my lights go out

This happened to me also, a few months ago. I've got a '96 Sunfire GT. 2.4. It tured out to be a bad headlight switch. It was easy to fix. I bought a new one @ Auto Zone for around $70.00, popped the cover off the steering collom undid a few screws, unconnected a few wiring harness connectors, and took the old one out & put the new one in. The unit in question contains the cruse control & turn signal as well. It's all one big part. Good luck. _J_

SOURCE: high beams come on when I turn on the right blinker.

Have you checked with your dealer/garage/service provide?

Suggest you get electrician to check the light switch. I assume the blinker and the beam are on the same combination switch.

You may want to consider replacing the whole unit. Have it check-out first though.

Inspect the sockets to see if they look burned or browned.
Turn the blinker on and check for power on the wire before the socket. Had a few with this problem and it was the sockets.

No power to right side (PS) headlight low beam plug socket, new bulb, fuse is good. High beam works, blinker works, park light works. just no low beam and doesn't register any voltage on volt meter.

check low beam fuse when switched on if it has voltage registering across the fuse ,if there is voltage across the low beam RHS fuse then it is possibly a pinched wire from the headlight running back towards inside of the car

sounds like the problem is the dimmer switch, get a price on the dimmer switch. If you have to, get one at a junk yard . It's cheaper.
