The Inertia switch. Located either behind a front kick panel or in the trunk, this part has a reset button on it. If the right frequency is felt by door slamming or trunk closing, a Parking lot bump, etc. this part will disconnect the power to the fuel pump.

2006 jeep liberty rear lift glass won;t close

Mine did this too....the latch kept getting stuck. If you put the key in the ignition and unlock the power doors, pull on the gate door (don't open it, just enough to release the latch), and it should come out so the hatch will latch.

Sounds like the electric actuator is not connected inside the door.

2006 ford fusion driver door from inside wont open from inside

Either the inside door hanle is broken or the linkage is disconnected iside the door. You will have to remove the door panel to inspect and find out which it is.

Got kids? VW electric convertible top - I found dried milk in the switch had same problem on turn on convertible opened and would not close, would have to use manaul bypass foldup. Pull window controller spray with a electrical cleaner then try it. If not dirty the switch is bad. May be in driver door switch or on rear door? Good luck.

My 2006 Ford Fusion's radio won't turn off. Everytime I take the keys out and open the door the radio doesn't cut off!! Why!!!

U have a defective door ajar switch most likely, if this switch remains closed then the delayed exit feature stays on, this means the radio will stay on because the delayed exit module didn't sense the door was opened, try opening the passenger door to confirm this problem, any door should turn off the radio

2006 ford fusion

on the inside of the door there should be a plastic cover the same shape as the unit that you can pry off (very slowly) and it may have some clips that you can pry off. when you remove the cover the three posts should be exposed and just remove the nuts and the rest is far as your kid goes...........your on your own...........

The rear lights on 2006 ford fusion are not working, we replaced the bulbs and when we check the fuses, they popped?

check the contacts on the rear hatch they are on bottom panel and the bottom of hatch these make contact for rear lights when hatch is closed you are looking for dirty wet contacts or pins stuck in on hatch contacts also the contacts block on bottom panel is sometimes o/heated thro arcing and eventually plastic plug that plugs to this block burns and creates a short circuit whick will blow fuses as you mention remove this block and examine it is more likely your problem ? hope this helps?

I opened my r rear door to vacum. It would not

if the jaws are closed, just pull the door handle all the way open, just like you were opening the door. You should hear a snap when the jaws open.
