VAN WANT START. IT WILL TURN OVER BUT WILL NOT START, IVE CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER BUT THAT DID NOT HELP.

Clarification Request

Try spraying some starter fluid down the intake and see if that will let it start. If it does then you know the problem is fuel related. If it doesn't are you sure that you are getting spark to your plugs? Let me know what you find out...

if you have access to a timing light hook it up to any one of the spark plug wires .have some one turn the van over for you and check to see if its getting spark to the plugs. if you dont have acess to a timing light pull the wire s one at a time making sure you put them ALL back on the plugs they come off of as you go so as to not get them crossed or on the wrong plugs put a screwdriver in the end lay it across a metal part of the engine so as to ground it ( WARNING )
DO NOT USE FUEL LINES CARBORATOR OR ANY PART OR FUEL SYSTEM TO PERFORM THIS TEST and as someone is cranking the engine watch for a good spark preferably blue in color if it is there go onto the next one no need to remove wires from plugs yet unless you are using screwdriver instead of timing light you are just checking for spark to all your plugs . repeat check them all if you (are )getting good spark to the plugs you have nearly isolated ignition. the problem is more than likly at this point in your fuel system..but from my experiance the problems with a
engine that dont want to start the problem 80 percent of the time it is in the ignition so check it first if you dont have good spark than you know it is not the fuel system its the ignition system at any rate if you need help through the steps to repair either ignition system of fuel system feel free to contact me mrdmburns@cableone.net
here is a list of ignition parts that could be of concern depending on your make and model and year of van plugs plug wires distributor rotor condenser pick up coil points if aplicable on board computer ignition switch and wires in main harness
fuel parts still that could be a issue
fuel pump fuel lines injectors carborator or .throttle body ecm injectors and all smog related components feel free to email me no charge to help you i even have free unlimited long distance all i need is a number to contact you
things to check if you can check to insure you have good spark to all plugs also you can check to see it is getting gas if you have electronic fuel injection ,on the fuel rail on top of engine look for what looks like a tire valve stem and remove the little black cap take a piece of stiff wire or a ink pen or whatever you have handy and push on the little button in the center if there is fuel to this point we go on to next step if not the problem is either it just has not got to that point yet or you have one of two things bad either a plugged fuel line or a bad fuel pump email me and we can get it going im more than sure..D.M.BURNS
