I need the torque settings in Nm for the head and the conrod on a opel kadett 1600 gse

Check the repair manual for the torque figure - if a later model the bolts are angular tightened and the bolts should be used once only and then replaced. Earlier models don't use stretch bolts and they can be reused.

The two engines are probably identical but if you want to interchange parts you need to make careful comparisons - I have noticed slight differences between vehicles from different factories.

cyl head no new bolts needed stage 1. 50nm stage 2. 70nm stage 3. 103 nm conrod/bigends new bolts not needed stage1. 25nm stage2 50nm hope that helps

Did you use a ridge reamer to clean the ridge at the top of the cylinders ?

Hi I have a Opel Corsa utility 1.7D I am doing the hole engine over but I need the setting for it 2000modle Corsa and the engineers are rebuilding the crank is that okay or risky

Conrod torque settings for opel cadett 1.6 gse

main bearing ranges torque = 50Nm - 54Nm
or 35 - 40 ft lbs
