A few days after getting my injectors cleaned on my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, my check engine light came on. At the time, the tech that did the job was joking about a fellow mechanic causing the light to come on in his personal vehicle while doing the same cleaning because he pushed the cleaner through the system too fast.
Last Saturday, my truck failed inspection (TX) due to the "System too Lean (Bank 1 & 2) codes.
I'm assuming that the WalMart tech did the same and pushed the solution through too fast, causing the light to come on. Is this possible/probable? If so, would a local shop like Auto Zone be able to clear the codes so that I can pass inspection?
