2003 Saturn Vue AWD after I start the truck and it idles fine once i drive it for a minute it thens starts to idle low and will stop running

This does not make any since. You come to a stop, then it will not go forward until you hit the brakes, then it will go? When you changed the filter did you set the emergency brake? Sounds like you may have brakes that are sticking when you come to a stop.

IS THERE A ENG LIGHT ON AND WHY .??? SHOULD OF SET A LIGHT. WILL GIVE CLUE ASTO WHERE TO LOOK

does it idle ok in park? and how does it act when you give it gas when park? is this problem only happen in drive

First I would check the air filter, if it's real dirty replace it. To check and see if it is the filter. remove it and drive the car. it your problem stops. replace it, you don't want to drive without it for to long. If it persists, try cleaning the throttle body and mass air flow sensor. And if it still persists, have the catalytic converters checked. All of these things are pointing to air reduction for the engine. if there isn't enough air flow threw the engine it starts with the symptoms you have now and gets progressively worse.

The P0304 indicates the #4 cylinder is misfiring. The flashing light means the cylinder is not firing at all...It could be several things causeing it, coil, wires, plug, injector or vacuum leak. Do not drive your vehicle until you have this repaired, as it will lead to further more costly problems. Good luck, i hope this helps.

sounds like a throttle sensor fault do to the fact that the saturn vue doesnt idle at 500 normally its uaually between 600-800. i suggest getting it hooked to a diagnostic machine to find wat the codes are cause im sure it will be several.

It sounds like it`s choking to much what i mean is it`s not getting the air intake it needs is it loosing horse power a little ? here's something you can try because it sounds like the intake manifold is clogging . After getting it start gently pour some carb cleaner directly into the intake on throttle body be careful not to pour to fast the engine will stall hold the idle up to at least 1500 rpm slowly empty all of container keep idle up for just about a minute then gently let off it if it goes to die hold it up a little bit longer once it holds it`s own idle let it idle for about 10 minutes on it`s own NOTE it will smoke like crazy out the exhaust but don`t worry it will stop that in time once it seems to have settled down on smoke take for drive know i can`t tell you to go blow the cob webs out of it because you would have to speed and i would not want to have suggested to you do that. I would take it in and have them do a diagnostic on it, sounds like the cam shaft sensor to me.

Pour the fuel injection cleaner to it....sounds like the injectors are dirty.....

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
