SOURCE: knock sensor location

I'm trying to find this as well...
I've been told its on the back of the engine above the oil filter, however, I cannot locate it...
I have the replacement sensor from Autozone in my hand ($104.XX) yet cannot find where it is supposed to go.  There is a random bolt above a freeze plug, I'm wondering if it is supposed to be in that location.  Not sure that this is even the original motor... eek!

SOURCE: Temp sensor needs to be replaced

this does not mean the sensor is defective, it most likely means the engine thermostat is stuck open and the engine is not running hot enough to satisfy the computers preset temp requirements for minimum eng operating temp.

2006 Chrysler 300C code error U1403 and P1521

The description for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1521 is "Incorrect Engine Oil Type." The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is able to identify engine oil viscosity using oil pressure and oil temperature sensor inputs and will set this DTC if the viscosity is determined to be incorrect. Engine oil viscosity could be incorrect due to the wrong engine oil being added or oil contamination (with fuel or coolant). This code could also be set if there is a problem with the engine's internal oil pressure. Lastly, this condition could also be caused by a PCM software issue. There appear to be two software updates to address the false detection of the P1521 DTC; they are on Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) 18-008-08 and 18-035-05. If the software is already up-to-date, I would recommend starting with an oil change using oil with the correct viscosity. You can read about how to interpret engine oil labels (including viscosity rating) here: https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-read-a-motor-oil-label

I am trying to find where the oil temperature sensor is located on a 2005 Kia Spectra. I have a P0198 error code

Dear Eojamio,
First, call you local Kia dealer and ask them.
I checked and I found there is no oil temperature sensor on your car.
There is a oil pressure sensor.
There is also a coolant temperature sensor.
Any Kia dealer should tell you 1) what the code means, and 2) where the sensors are located.
Know that you may not be able to see them, even with a flashlight, as they are often "buried" in spaces around the engine compartment.
God bless your efforts.

05 Chrysler 300c 5.7 with codes P1416 and P2784- where do I start first? what other things sind I look out for? Any Suggestions? Please Help! Thank you....

its a diesel engine right
is it turbo-ed

very complicated engines with all the electronics
best guess....could be very wrong
suggests cylinder 6 is down on intake pressure
and Input/Turbine speed sensor might be that cause of that

thats the two issues .
.might need a Chrysler service division to sort out

P1416 .Cylinder 6 Reactivation Control Performance
P2784.....generic code only

A diagnostic check on my 2007 chrysler 300c crd revealed that the manifold pressure sensor was possibly preventing the car from starting but i dont know where in the engine this sensor is located.

Could be just a bad connection. could be Intake manifold. You need a service manual
try this http://www.manualslib.com/
I'd also google your problem, Odds, are someone else has had this problem and has a fix for it. Be sure to use the error code. in your search.

Hello! See diagram below of the location of Crankshaft Positioning Sensor (CPS)...It has a 3 wire connector with the following wire colors...Dark Blue/Dark Green (ground)...Dark Blue/White (signal lead)...And Pink/Yellow (+5 volts)...

Looking at the front of the engine...The left bank (front to rear) are 2, 4, 6, 8...
The right bank (front to rear) are 1, 3, 5, 7...Therefore the first cylinder on the right bank is # 1...The rear or last cylinder on the right bank is #7
