SOURCE: how to reset the check engine light on a 1999 toyota avalon xls

You need to have a code reader/scan tool hooked up to retrieve the code/s that triggered the engine light. You can have this done at most auto parts stores for free. Try Auto zone, Checkers, Napa, or Murray's. The engine light will eventually go out if the computer does not receive any codes after many cycles turning the ignition on and off. It will not go out if there are codes still present. After you've retrieve the code/s bring them back here and we will have a better understanding of what caused them.

Water in trunk of toyota avalon

Either your rear windows leaks or the boot seal is cracked, torn or not glued properly on the car body flange. Check these first, or try and sit in the boot with a strong torch and have someone to hose the rear part of the car. Usually you'll find the leak and fix it.

I'm thinking its possible you may have a short(wires touching together or on metal) somewhere. But before anything I would check your fuses. Also make sure your battery terminals are tight.

2007 Toyota Avalon, trunk will not open with key fob or button in car, no noise when I press either, have a flat tire and can not get in the trunk

Button inside glove box (on left side) disables trunk opening...just push it again and trunk can be opened...worked for my 2007 Avalon. I must have bunped it by accident to disable the trunk and didn't realize the button existed. Toyota dealer said bring it in for $125 diagnostic but then I saw the cure in the car manual.

How do I remove the oil pan on a 1998 Toyota Avalon?

Jack your car first , Open the oil drain plug and let the oil drain, start to remove the bolts around the oil pan , take it off and If you are not willing to change the pan then wash it really good and scrap the old gasket with a blade or sand paper.

To put it back, use new gasket and silicon sealant around the oil pan and make sure to put it back as it was and make sure everything is sealed because you dont wanna have an oil leak after you get done. Good luck Bro

On a 1995 toyota 4Runner the cranshaft seal i replaced but it's still leaking what is the problem?

The only way a new seal would leak is if its improperly installed, damaged, or excessive build up within the seal seats. Check for leaks around the seal area, or from the upper parts of the engine, that may be running downward!!
