My "new" ford, a 2000 mustang convertible, has seat motor issues. Any ideas on what I need to do? (Specifics: none of the seat buttons work, no sound from seat motor, drivers side)

First check the fuse(s). Make sure you look carefully in the owner's manual, as some of those random items have multiple fuses and share fuses w/ other components... so make sure you check all applicable fuses.
If the fuses are all good, then you'll probably have to replace either the switch(es) or the motor... the major problem being that you usually cannot return electrical parts that are not actually defective, so trying one and then the other could be more expensive than just taking it to a shop and saying "doesn't work, fix it". Ditto for if it turns out to be an electrical wiring problem/short.

SOURCE: Ford drivers side heated seat doesn't work any ideas?

Most likely one of the heater elements in either the seat cushion or seat back is open.It leaves the module and goes to the seat back on the YE/LB wire thru the seat back and leaves there on the GY/LB wire and goes to the seat cushion and leaves there on the VT/LB. An open in either one of these will cause it not to work.Usally its the seat cushion one that goes bad.
You can test them with an ohm meter and you can get the heated element seperate. Just have to remove the cover to replace it.

SOURCE: how do i remove the back seat to my 2000 ford

On the seat bottom left and right of center there's a release clip. (see photo) Carefully push the release with a flat screw driver and pull up doing one side at a time.
Once the seat bottom is removed there's 2 bolts holding the seat back in place, remove the bolts and lift the seat back straiting up.

Rag top / convertible top motor/pump won't work. Needs fluid or motor?

most soft tops are operated with an electric wiper motor could be just a rust problem, check behind the seat or in the boot of the car, these are normally behind a panel, a little Q20 should sort it out

2001 mustang convertible. How do you remove the rear seat to access the motor or pump ot check oil level? Thanks, Bruce

The seat bottom is held in with 2 release buttons located left and right of the center of the seat. (see photo) push with a screw driver and lift, then pull the seat bottom forward and remove.

The rear seat back is help in place by 2 self tapping bolts on the lower left and right of the seat back near the floor, if I remember correctly you'll need a 10mm socket. Remove the 2 bolt and lift up to remove the seat back. When re installing the seat back do not over tighten the bolts they have a tendency to strip.

My seat belt alarm stays on most the time but

The sensor in the bottom buckle is faulty. You can bypass it if you'd like.

Convertible top goes down and won't come back up.

You are probably low on fluid.
Behind the rear seat is the motor/pump/reservoir.
With the top down, fill the reservoir till it overflows with ATF. Cycle the system a few times. Repeat till the reservoir will accept no more fluid.
Look for leaking lines or cylinders. The fluid must have gone someplace.
Always replace lines and or cylinders in pairs.

2001 Mustang GT convertible won't go up

You are probably low on fluid.
Behind the rear seat is your motor/pump/reservoir combination.
With the top down, fill the reservoir to overflowing with ATF.
Cycle the system a few times and repeat.
Do this till the reservoir will take no more fluid.
Check the lines and cylinders for leaks. The fluid must be going somewhere.
If you replace any lines or cylinders, always do them in pairs.
