Question about 2000 Toyota Camry

When my 2000 Camry is in drive it feels like it's going to shut off when it's in park it doesn't do it what is the problem

Sounds like it might be the IAC (Idle Air Control) has failed or more likely the IAC passage is gummed up. The IAC port is just ahead of the throttle plate inside the throttle body. It can be cleaned with a denatured alcohol or other solvent and then lubricated with a product like Marvel Mystery Oil.

Also, check your PCV valve. I've found that if the PCV valve gets plugged up it causes an oily buildup in the throttle body which can plug the IAC port.

That a really weird condition 2 things that come to mind... water damage from a leak around the windshield that causing a problem on some connections on either the drivers side or passenger side, or a bad integration relay,also known as a body ecu or fuse box assembly..

seems like your gear linkage is either broken or come off, if the linkage is ok then u are looking at a replacement gearbox
