I'd say it is not coolant, but condensed moisture from the A/C. There is a drain line for this under the dash, which is evidently blocked. Locate the outlet under the car on the outside of the footwell at the base of the firewall, and probe it with a piece of stout wire.

Why does coolant leak in vehicle cabin?

the cabin heater unit is inside the car just behind the dashboard. It is an extension of the car cooling system using the hot water that normally cools the engine to heat the cabin. However it is just like the radiator at the front of your car and can develop leaks, and therefore the coolant runs into the cabin

Toyota tazz starting to use water no water leaks about 1 litre in about 2 to 3 weeeks

replace the thermostat as it is essential for correct operation. Have a pressure test done on the coolant system and check for leaks in the radiator --rear and sides of the engine and in the cabin around the heater core.. Check radiator cap as it may not be operation correctly and allowing the water to be drawn back into the radiator on cooling down. Check the hose from the reservoir back to the radiator cap as if it is cracked or broken the water will not be drawn back to replace what was pushed out when hot. Have a compression test done to check for gasket and head cracks.

Water lose from the raditor on a citreon c1

Hi Dennis, If you're sure that the coolant is leaking from the radiator, replace it. If the cooling system is leaking somewhere else, have the cooling system inspected by asking for a cooling system pressure check. After locating the source of the problem attend as required. Areas of interest are 1) The radiator. 2) Radiator pressure cap. 3) Broken or cracked hoses or leakages from where each fits. 4) Water pump 5) Core plugs fitted into engine block and cylinder head. 6) Cabin climate system. (Radiator inside cabin of vehicle) Keep me informed as to your progress. Regards John

My motor engine overheat everytime i turn on myu aircon

The overheating of the car can be due to many reasons and you need to check on each one to confirm the working of the system. In this case it is confirmed that when the AC is switched on the engine seems to heat more than normal. So this indicates a POOR performance of the engine whichmust be checked as follows:
1. In the first place the working of the engine must be assessed. it must be smooth with a good indication that the tuning timing and the power seems good. This will confirm that the settings of the engine is good and so there is less scope that the engine seems to heat up on its own.
2. Secondly the radiator pressure cap must be tight and good, the radiator MUST not loose coolant after a run or in a few days time- since this must be a sealed system and there is no scope of water overflow or loss unless there is a leak- sometimes the leak is too microscopic as under high pressure only steam might escape and so reduce the coolant. So check for leaks while the engine is hot , specially the radiator, the hose or the fittings.
3. The working of the water pump must be good to ensure a good flow and circulation, so check for leak in the water pump, check for presence of water in the exhaust or leaking on the engine gaskets.
4.Make sure that the coolant is good and clean if not drain and refill , if there is presence of rust please have a good flushing of the radiator or else the chances are that the radiator ports can be blocked and reduce the efficiency of the cooling .
5. Finally the cooling fan, the radiator fan must be working, check the thermostat/thermistor to work accordingly with good flow, have a good water jet wash on the radiator for a clean radiator cooling fin exposure.

I have a leak coming from what I reckon must be the air conditioning system on a Mitsubishi Mirage Asti V 1998. The leak is right at the back of the engine chassis, there are some metal pipes and directly...

The water drip is quite normal, it is the moisture in the air that has frozen onto you evaporator coils and is now melting. It shows that your aircon is working. Look around shopping mall parking places, you will often see these little pools of water.

Leaking water from the driver's side, carpet wet winter and summer

if its still leaking when its not raining check the fluid, if it smells slightly or is coloured it could be radiator coolant, your heater in the car uses the cooling system from your radiator the hoses come into the dash into the heater box, it could simply be the heater box has sprung a leak and is leaking into your car. you would need to take dash apart to get to it. might pay to check levels in radiator aswell, if its happening when its raining only or when water is coming from outside it could be the aircon vents at the bottom of the windshield check to see if there are leaves clogging it up remove and poor water in to check if its done. clogged vents cause overflowing into your system.

Unwanted fumes gas in ford falcon futura

is the car on recirculate or fresh air? air from your aircon comes through the bottom of your front windscreen, make sure its clear and free of leaves or anything that can cause blockage to stop it from become damp inside the aircon ducts. if it is definately petrol fumes you may have an exhaust leaking from your engine bay, releasing the fumes into your cabin, that is the most common reason for petrol fumes in your aircon.
