SOURCE: On my 2010 Silverado the message center says engine power reduced, service stabilitrack and service traction control system. What would cause these messages. It started after sitting for a few days

Make sure the battery is charged fully and the charging system is working properly. Low voltage will cause these modules to shut down for the engine to operate properly. The life expantancy of a battery is 5 yrs. Gm has also been having issues with the throttle actuator assembly as it is now drive by wire. ( No throttle cable ) Causing the reduced engine power light to come on and in turn shutting down other modules due to reduced power. Have the codes scanned for accelerator pedal correlation issues to determine if the throttle unit needs replacement

Diesel. Reduce power lite turned on. Shut off engine and started back up - lite is off. Can it be driven?

Jerry, Drive to a good shop. So many things can cause reduced power light unfortunately. The first step would be to get the truck hooked up to a scanner/computer and have the computer scanned for trouble codes. One thing that you could try is to drain the water from the water separator that is mounted on the frame under drivers front door. If the PCM picks up on water, power is reduced until water is removed/drained. It could be an exhaust sensor that is reading faulty. Unfortunately from here its impossible to tell you exactly what the fault is because there are just so many engine sensor inputs that could cause your problem. Check the attached links, forums, instruction and guides, Good luck

The fault codes have nothing to do with it sitting for a few days. There are sensors that work with your ABS brakes and TCS to help your car maintain control when corning briskly under load. You probably have a bad sensor on one of the wheels. Recommend you get the Haynes manual to see exactly how to test and replace them. A multimeter will help too.

Unless you are a qualified and certified mechanic (if you were, you would not be here asking how to fix it), take your vehicle to an authorized dealer, and get them to fix the problem. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE, especially during winter, until you get if fixed. Or, trade-in the vehicle.

01 camaro drive by wire reduced engine speed

This is what I find from other webpost..

Condition:
Some customers may comment on an MIL/SES light Illuminated with the" Reduced Engine Power" message or indicator displayed. A technician may find two or more of the following DTCs stored in the ECM:

P060E : Control Module Throttle Position (TP) System Performance

P1516 : Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance

P2135 : Throttle Position (TP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

P2138 : Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

Cause:
A battery voltage drop during the cranking cycle may cause the codes to set and place the vehicle into the reduce engine power mode.

Correction:
Test and charge the battery using the steps below.

Important: A low voltage condition may cause at least two of the following DTCs to set.

P060E : Control Module Throttle Position (TP) System Performance

P1516 : Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance

P2135 : Throttle Position (TP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

P2138 : Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

Perform a Diagnostic System Check. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in SI.
Check for DTCs and review the Freeze Frame/Failure Records to determine if sufficient ignition voltage was present when the DTC set.
- If the ignition voltage was low, then check for a possible battery drain. Refer to Battery Electrical Drain/Parasitic Load Test.

- If the ignition voltage was sufficient when the code set, proceed with normal SI diagnosis for the code(s) set.

Test and recharge the battery using Bulletin 02-06-03-009 or latest version on "Battery Charging Tips'.
Clear all DTCs.
