With the engine running, put your foot on the brake and shift the transmission to neutral. Now move the transfer case shifter forward till it stops then push it down towards the floor and forward again. You should now be in low range

I have a 1995 Ford Bronco with Push Button 4X4 with automatic locking hubs. Has a 351 engine. The problem I have is when you push the button to engage 4X4, the front tiers to do not pull on either high or...

It sounds like your front hubs are worn out. Actually just 1 of them. You can put in 4 high or low pull it forward chock it raise the frnt wheels to see which one isnt locking by turning it. Most people just go ahead and buy new set of manual Waren lockers.

1992 ford full size bronco xlt push button 4x4 auto locking hubs. I do not think 4x4 is working. yellow 4x4 high will come on will not go in low.

Junk the autolocking hubs for a set of good quality manual locking hubs. Your local auto parts store should have them in stock. E-Bay is a low-cost option but all premium hubs come with a warranty regarding failures and saving a couple bucks online is not worth it to me when I can warranty them at the local parts store. Get yourself a manual (Chilton or Haynes) and they will give you complete directions. As for the low range not working I found on my '92 that I had to pull the shift actuator motor off of the transfer case and re-apply the grease to the shaft as the old grease was stiff a non-pliable. It has not failed me since and I put it into low at least once a month to ensure that it works before bad weather hits.

4x4 will not engage on my 1990 Bronco. Light does

It could be the switch, a fuse, a relay, the motor that engages the transfer case (very common problem) or the transfer case itself. Disconnect the motor arm from the transfer case and see if you can move the shift rod by hand. If you can then you know the transfer case is probably OK and you can test from the motor back to the switch.

High range 4x4 works. light comes on. but the low range does not ingage nor does the light

dunno if this is your solution but your bronco only will go in low range if it is in nuetral. not park but nuetral only start your bronco put it in 4 high first then once it goes into 4 high make sure in nuetral then put in 4 low.
