Question about 1966 Ford Mustang
I had the distributor out and reinstalled it. Car was running fine before I removed the distributor. Engine runs ok until it is put under load, then misfires. About a month ago I installed new spark plug wires, distributor cap & rotor. I am using an electronic ignition ignitor in place of points & condenser in the distributor but it has been in use for several years.

replace the plug wires this will fix your secondary ignition breakdown. the egr code is due to a bad dpfe sensor which is for back pressure on egr valve.this will not cause misfire.

hesitating when from a standing start, then running well can be caused by having too big a jet size. I dropped the size of the jets on my Holley 4V, and it solved that part of the problem. The accelerator pump will push in too much gas, momentarily "drowning"the engine til you get enuff air to mix with the gas.

SOURCE: Hesitation and stumbling.
Before you do that, check which thermostat it has in it, if it has one that is letting it get too warm or not completely up to temp when the computer think it should be, it would cause this. My 2000 crown vic did the same thing and thats what it was.
