A crank sensor is an electronic device used in an internal combustion engine to monitor the position or rotational speed of the crankshaft. This information is used by engine management systems to control the fuel injection or the ignition system timing and other engine parameters. How do I set injection pump timing


you haven't given which make , model,year of engine type of fuel pump, make of fuel pump and the only clue is the flywheel
the injection timing mark is normally denoted as a lightning symbol and you will find it anywhere between 14 degrees btdc to 22 degrees btdc
or it will be set at the degrees btdc r recommended by the manufacturer
It has to be exact because after that mark will be down on power and too far advanced will melt pistons

A Isuzu NPR 4hf1 rotary pump timing marks set


Hi. If it has a rotary pump, the pump needs to be installed with the crank at 49 deg BTDC on the compression stroke cyl 1. Mark dot gear on pump with white paint. Line up dot gear on pump with line on pump bracket and install. Remove PRM sensor from bell housing and check if line on pump gear is still lined up with line on pump bracket.

Does anyone have a diagram for the timing marks on a case g188d diesel engine that I could see


if you know where the timing marks are supposed to be the use the old method of cam/crank timing to check and adjust to where the marks will be. Remove no 1 injector and turn the engine over until no 1 piston is coming up on injection stop when you reach TDC. mark on flywheel of harmonic balancer. If there is valve clearance ot both rockers turn the engine another 180 degrees and bring the piston to TDC again. watch the rockers and if you turn back a few degrees or turn forward a few degrees you will see ( in the forward direction) the exhaust valve closing and at the same time the inlet valve will be opening. This is known as valve rock. As you move the piston bacvk and forward over TDC you will see the valve movement. set on TDC and check the timing marks with the positions indicated. Remove and reposition the cam shaft gear to achieve the correct mark alignment or pull the cam shaft out just enough to realign the teeth to the mark. At the most you will be about 1 tooth out. The pump timing will be out 180 degrees as you are setting the valve timing on the induction stroke and you will need to turn the engine 180 degrees to compression stroke for the pump timing marks to line up. the injection mark on the flywheel is what you are looking for and when it is at the correct number of degrees as indicated by injection / lightning flash sign then the marks for the pump should be just about lined up

1JZ FSE toyota Mark II - the engine can't start; it abruptly cut off. It is able to start when fuel is manually injected into the carburator but cuts off immediately this fuel dries up


sounds like your fuel pump is bad and not supplying fuel can you hear it run when you switch key to on but not turning engine over

I changed my 1986 Toyota pickup engine, when it was all done i tried to turn it on and the gas pump wasn't pumping enough gas so i bought a new one and installed it, apparently now the pump has to much...


1986 is it fuel injected or carburator? Ill assume it fuel injected. New engine? Too much fuel pressure?
If its fuel injected is not going to be too much fuel pressure. There is a fuel pressure regulator that regulated the pressure.Because its a replaced engine what is the firing order? There will be 2 of them 1342 and 1432, You'll need to check the timing and the firing order. Bring the engine to top dead center, use the mark on the front pulley. take spark plug# 1 out.Is the piston up? Top dead center is the piston up and crank timing mark on zero( 0). remove distributor cap is it at a position to fire # sparkplug wire to cylinder? If not youll need to set it there. Because you are stating it shakes alot you not in the right firing order. let me know

Please, Can you tell me if there is a fuel pump fuse? and if not what next?


Can you tell me make model year do you have fuel injection. If you have fuel injection you do have a fuse, common places for fuses is on the side of dash board (either side) in glove box back or side under dash left side. Also look under the hood in the engine compartment to see if the is a fuse box with a fuse marked fuel pump. If you cannot find the fuse you will need to get a repair manual.

Timing diesel fuel pump


hi
first remove the timing cover afer remove also remove the crankshaft pully.
now you can see timing belt clearly next remove the valve cover to see valves.
Rotate the engine by hand you can see where you remove the engine bully key grove that key should be top side while you rotating the engine there is mark like -- on the cover behand where you remove the pully so that mark and the crank shark key should in lined.
after that look the injection pump pully you can see front side mark --- look the engine direct behand the bully you can see mark that two mark should be in line have look the engine valves first cylinder should be close and the 4cylinser exhaust valve open.
i thing that will help you.
