85 tpi corvette wiring diagram


Are you trying to use your harness and ecu from the existing v6? Please say no cuz the ecu for a v6 will not work well for the v8. I would suggest getting the ecu harness from the vette you got the motor from. GL.

Intermitant hesitation off idle


Great. Intermittant issues are a real annoyance. You need to become the detective and start monitoring the vehicle. At the times that it hesitated, did you feel anything slightly different, like a rougher idle? Many things can cause your condition. One high on the list is a throttle position sensor (TPI), often they are an electric volume switch, and it sends info to the computer, well the most used area for the control is off idle...You should be getting error codes before too long. The TPI unit is high failure area.

What is the ideal operating fuel pressure for an 89 Corvette w/ LT-1 TPI


The 5.0L injector is sized to deliver approximately 4.05 milligrams of fuel with a 2.5 millisecond pulse or 18.13 lbs per hr at approximately 36 PSI. The 5.7L injector is sized to deliver approximately 4.83 milligrams of fuel with a 2.5 millisecond pulse or 23.92 lbs per hr at approximately 43.5 PSI. This information is typical for all manufacturers and flow rates will vary slightly even between identicle injectors.

91 camaro not tpi it starts up fine but until it warms up you try


idle air control is used for assisting in fold starts. It sounds like its not functioning propperly. FYI your car is not carberated, its called a throttle body.

check your voltage readinf for you tpi sensor it should be a value of 0.0_ on the output side when you are at an idle. I think the bad tpi sensor. Let me knoe MrRodneyLong@gmail.com

1988 iroc-z 350 tpi - runs poorly when hot (190-200degrees)


Does it run poor at full throttle or between quarter and half throttle? Does it hessitate? If it does the EGR valve may be worn out. I had an 87 transam with TPI and was having problems with it stumbling and hesitating when it was warmed up. If the car starts hard and you have these problems then the issue may be low fuel pressure. Hook a guage up to the fuel rail and make sure you are getting pressure. If you are only getting a few pounds of pressure it may be the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. Good luck and if you thought this information was helpful please rate it when you get a chance.
