SOURCE: 2003 toyota abs light Codes

C1223 - Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0 C1203 - The procedure for this fault is to check for an open or short in the harness and connector between the Skid control ECU and ECM.If no faults are found with the wiring, then - the MIL stays off when ignition on but engine not running (Requires ECM replacing)
- the MIL comes on when ignition on but engine not running (requires ABS & traction actuator assembly)
These parts wont be cheap so i hope its a wiring fault smile.gif
If you take it to a Toyota dealership they should be able to do this for you pretty easily.

C1203 code on 03 sequoia

This communication code (C1203) will be set any time the check engine light comes on. The data link between the two computers becomes interrupted when there is a malfunction in the engine control computer or if the brake warning light is illuminated. The code itself is nothing to be worried about unless it won't clear and this is causing the lights for the VSC system to remain on. If this is the case then there is a problem in the communication line between the VSC computer and the engine control computer. This is extremely unlikely though. Remove the negative battery cable to erase all the memories in the on board systems then see if everything functions normally and this 1203 code disappears

Codes C1223, C1247, and C1360

Join a toyota forum for free online. The best way is to gain an understanding of the problem. Depending on your skills you might fix it yourself or narrow down the problem and take it to a shop or the dealer and use your research to guide the mechanic or challenge his diagnosis if it varies from what the forum members said.

Just buy a code reading and resetting tool like ELM 327 - $10 on amazon, and connects to your phone via bluetooth. Then download Torque Pro free or paid for and additional $6.
