SOURCE: tried to jump start car with leads, battery

Either you have a completly dead batt. or your starter is shot.. You can not jump a car with a flat dead Batt. but a BOOST PACK will....it's all about the AMPERAGE.

Put battery charger on battery post and left it to charg for therty minutes now battery charged **** car wont turn over

IF you have a computor control modual in the car (efi) hooking up the charger as you describe is a good way of burning out the unit. There are strict rules as to how to jump start ( charge) electronic controlled vehicles and if they are not followed the power surge the happens when the terminals are connected damage the computer.

Hyundai Elantra 2001 - internal electronic problem

There is a "body control unit" that runs most of the interior stuff. It is up under the dash on the drivers side. For more info www.hmaservice.com ,sign up for free on the home page look for a tab labeled : shop. click on that. enter the year make and model, and start researching. this is the same info the dealer techs have access to. It has helped me greatly.

98 tiburon fx. battery blew up driving down the freeway. replaced battery, car wouldn't start. replaced crankshaft and cam sensors, along with coil pack. noticed a blown fuse for rear defogger and...

The reason why the battery blew up is because of a deffective alternator. The charging regulator on the alternator has malfuntioned, and caused the battery to be overcharged. The reason why your car wont start is because overvoltage has damaged some of the electronic sisytem in the car associated with the ignition system.

My 2002 sonata alarm wont shut off and my keyless wont stop it and the car also wont start with the key either

When the alarm is activated, there is an Anti-Theft device (Starter Kill Relay) which prevents anyone from starting the engine using the key (about 5 minutes). If you place the key in the ignition and turn the key to the "RUN" position, wait 5 minutes (approx), the engine should then be able to start. If not, the problem may be the ETACS (Electronic Time & Alarm Control System) module. If it does start, the problem may simply be that the battery in the keyless remote is weak/dead, or the remote needs to be programmed again for that vehicle. Only the remote can 'DEACTIVATE' the alarm. Best solution, take/tow the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.).
